One Hundred and Three

For two days, Mercy stayed away and did not visit Felix even when she had the opportunity. she knew that tension was high and wanted to the heat to cool off for a bit.

On the third day, Mercy set out to visit Felix, a little earlier than the usual time when he was normally home.

Indeed, she found that he was not yet home. She had actually come prepared. She quickly set to work, cooking his favourite meal of starch and native soup. She had not told him about it and had meant it as a surprise.

She was just rounding off when Felix came back and was pleasantly surprised to see her in the house.

Mercy had to admit that she really liked the kitchen. It was of the U- shape. well furnished with the cabinets and all. She had previously arranged the utensils and cutleries beautifully where they should be for easy access.

She served him the meal after his shower.

She was happy at the way he ate the meal. It was evident that he enjoyed it just as she had hoped.
