One Hundred and Fifteen

The results of her (JAMB ) Joint Admission and Matriculation Board was released and Mercy made it.

She had to prepare to go to PortHarcourt, to get registered in the institute she had chosen.

She was hoping to be back after her registration to better prepare herself for the school proper.

When Felix heard about her outstanding success, he was besides himself with joy. He was really happy for her because he knew how she had worked hard for it and because he wished her every good thing.

She went to visit Felix the evening prior to her departure.

Though she was going to spend at most, three weeks, he still knew that he was going to miss her.

When she came, he was already home from work.

She reminded him that she would be leaving for PortHarcourt the next day and he smiled wistfully.

He was both happy and sad. Happy because at least Mercy was realising one of her dreams and sad because he didn't know how he would survive in her absence.
