Chapter 61

Now Tobias couldn’t be sure anymore. His crush on David obviously ran much deeper than what he expected it to be. He was determined to be David’s lover until their last dying breath, and that frightened and excited him at the same time. For the next several moments, neither of them exchanged a single word. The atmosphere between them wasn’t tense, though. Instead, he could sense the passion and the thrill of hope burning deep inside him. He and David continued to eat in silence. Once in a while, they would smile at each other. Unfortunately, lunch was over way too soon. He got up and pulled David into his embrace while the man was packing everything back into the basket.

“Do you have to return to your office?”

David chuckled. “Yes. Otherwise, I would be fired. If I was jobless, I wouldn’t be able to afford the rent on my apartment.”
