“I don’t think that will be happening anytime in the near future.”
“Why not?”
Vincent arched his left eyebrow at Calvin. “Come on, Cal. Get real.”
Calvin sighed softly. “You’re right. Do you think Tony is the right guy, though?”
Vincent was a little surprised to discover the reply died in his throat. He ended up gaping at Calvin for a short moment.
“I…I love him, and he loves me, too.”
“What’s the problem then?”
“I…I have no idea, but I believe he is the right man for me.”
“Scared of commitment?”
“No!”
“So?”
Vincent shrugged. “I really don’t know.”
“It’s a simple question, man. Is he or is he not the right guy for you? Can you see the two of you spending the rest of your lives together? Forget about a proposal for the time being.”
Vincent thought about the question for a brief moment. “Yeah. He’s the man I want.”
“For the rest of your life?” Calvin persisted.
This time around, Vincent had no hesitation. “Yeah. Absolutely.”
