“Did you enjoy the date?”

Anthony smiled and nodded at Vincent. “Absolutely.”

The two of them were seated inside Vincent’s car, which was parked in the spot reserved for visitors at Anthony’s apartment complex. Anthony had no clue why he was shy all of a sudden. He actually had to force himself not to fidget as he and Vincent remained quiet next to each other. They didn’t even maintain eye-contact most of the time. Vincent broke the silence a short moment later.

“So, I have no idea if you have any plans for the rest of the day. Do you have to check on the bakery?”

Anthony shook his head. “I have two managers and a few employees. They work in shifts. They can handle everything. I don’t really have to be there unless there’s an emergency.”

“But you’re there every day?”

“Almost. I’m not a control freak or anything like that, but I like to know what’s happening with my business.”

“That makes sense.”
