Chapter 11| The Job

Taehyung's Point of View

I walked past the lockers in school looking for a certain blonde.

"There he is!" I whispered to myself as I spotted him walked towards one of the classes. "Jimin!"

He turned around with a confused face which immediately became a frown.

"Is everything alright?" I asked, stopping in front of him and tilting my head to look at him.

"Why didn't you tell me, Tae? I thought we were friends..." Jimin said before turning his back to me but I was quick to stop him.

"What do you mean?"

"You're transferring to another school?" Jimin raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed.

"I am?" I blinked.

"My mum told me. Your mum told her that she got a job at another state somewhere and you'll be leaving this month."

I looked at him blankly. Then I remembered my mum attending a job interview last week. Oh, shit.

"I had no idea, I-" I said slowly, trying to gain back my senses when the school bell rang.

"See you at lunch," Jimin walked away.

I turned around myself to make it to my first class. How come mum didn't tell me about this? Does this mean... Jimin and I wont be spending time together like we always do? What school am I even transferring to? Will I be able to find someone like my best friend there?

"Kim Taehyung?!"

I looked ahead and saw my math teacher looking at me sternly with her hands crossed. "Come up and solve this, please," she pointed to a sum on the whiteboard.

Third Person's Point of View

Soon it was lunch time and Taehyung couldn't wait any longer to go back home and have a talk with his mother. There was so many questions bottled up in his head and he thought it might explode.

He sat at an empty table waiting for Jimin and stared at his food, not really hungry. Moments later, he looked up to see Jimin plop onto the seat across him emotionlessly and lay his lunch on the table.

"Jimin," he began, making Jimin look at him, waiting for him to continue. "I didn't know. My mum never told me".

"I guessed it right then," Jimin sighed. "Tae, what are we gonna do? We're gonna be separated! And you're the only one I talk to here. You're my only friend and we're best friends, and-"

"Yes, Jimin, calm down," Taehyung interrupted him. He took that as his cue to bite onto his PBJ. "I'll have a talk with mum after school and let's see what we can do."

Jimin shook his head, mouth full. "Tae, it's your mum's job. There's no way she's gonna let that slide. You're leaving." Taehyung found his PBJ coated mouth adorable.

Taehyung sighs as he knows Jimin maybe right. His single mother was looking for jobs since forever and when she got through the interview she attended last week, it made her cry in happiness. His mother really need that job.

"Why aren't you eating?" Jimin interrupted his thoughts.

"I'm not really hungry. There's no time left anyway," he slid his arm across the table, pushing his lunch tray towards the edge until all of it was in a mess on the floor.

Jimin looked at him, mouth agape which still had munched PBJ, eyes looking back and forth from Taehyung and the mess he made. "Are you okay, Tae?"

"I'm alright. Just a bit stressed." At this point all eyes in the cafeteria were on them. Taehyung got up with his bag. "I'm going home."

"But we have four more classes," Jimin frowned.

"I know, but I just want to go home already. See you after school," with that, Taehyung left.

The walk home made Taehyung more and more impatient. He just wanted to shift back into his wolf form and run but he's afraid of poachers.

Should I really ask mum about this, he thought. What am going to ask her anyway? She won't ever change her plans. He sighed.

When he got home, he walked the stairs silently, praying his mother won't hear him. He heard the distinct humming coming from the kitchen as he made his way to his room and closed the door behind him. He let out a sigh of relief when suddenly he heard,

"Taehyung?" His mother called him. And then it was silent again. He prayed that his mum shouldn't find him. He has no mood to answer her questions right now.

He laid on his bed and soon he was drifting to dreamland.

The Author's POV

The person whom the world revolves around. The person who defeats all of his opponents, and ultimately gets the beautiful girl. The sole existence all villains fear. That is the protagonist. What about me? As a failed author who had only one success throughout his whole career, I had reincarnated into my late novel. "This is it" I thought, as I tightly clenched my fist. Did I just get reincarnated in my own novel? Is this where I reincarnate in a novel and become the protagonist? No. Sadly it's not that kind of novel, as I reincarnated as a mob. The world doesn't revolve around me. The girls don't come flocking towards me. The cheat items don't come to me. "Phew" I let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god I'm not the protagonist" I joyfully shouted as tears streamed down my cheeks. Wait, are you curious as to why I don't want to be the protagonist? I did forget to mention the most important thing when I was describing a protagonist. That is... They are calamity magnets. I just died. If I learned something from that, it's that it really isn't a pleasant experience. If possible let me live a long stable life. Thank you, whoever reincarnated me. I would later come to regret these words... ======== Reader Disclaimer : Please read the *Read before reading novel* in synopsis. ======== Credit to _oinkchan for helping me find the previous novel cover Credit to Rengoku for his amazing edit of the new cover. ======== Discord : https://discord.gg/FNAKgfyky4 Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/TheAuthorPOV

Shocked voices could be heard from the people and there was some which were also filled with scorn. Grey stood dazed amidst all the noises without any reactions. One word was constantly reverberating in his head, 'How?'. 'Why, why did this happen to me?' Grey asked himself over and over again **************** Unbeknownst to Grey, something greater lies in wait in his body.... *************** Check out the book, leave a review after reading, and also your powerstones. Hope you enjoy this, and Thanks for reading ^_^ P.S: When I started this book I had zero writing experience, so the first chapters aren't that great, although, my writing quality has improved over time. Also, English isn't my first language, so there are some instances where my choice of words are not good enough for what I'm trying to portray. A heads up, the book will be using a medieval setting. My world building is not the best, but it gets better over time, so bear with me on the early chapters! P.S: Cover art not mine I just edited it. If you're the owner and want me to take it down you can notify me. Other novel: Lunar:Secret Guardians Check it out as well! Discord Server: https://discord.gg/gs68a4ZzaN
