Metropolis-12

The past couple of days have just been cases of bad luck, so with gambling and the long rides out of the question for now Raxdos was left thinking of something new to do in the past time.

"Let's check the internet what counts as a normal day out on this planet... hope I get something useful this time." He got out a phone he bought recently and typed 'normal day out' slowly in the browser.

He was kind of a noob with this planet's technology, and only recently did he begin surfing the web. The only things he tried were purchasing things online or watching funny videos when he became bored.

Among the activities he found on general sites there were three that caught his eye- going shopping, going out for a movie or going out to a restaurant. Most of these activities required more than one person to attend, but other than Lobo he never had any other friends or people he could trust.

"Maybe I should make some acquaintances?" He immediately slapped himself after even suggesting it, did he become soft since arriving on Terra?

He figured he just needs a day out, without any alcohol or gambling. That meant that Gotham really ain't the city he needs right now.

"Maybe I should visit Metropolis, hopefully won't be as gloomy as Gotham." Though 'gloomy' is quite the understatement.

After changing into a black leather jacket and dark blue jeans he went to his garage where he picked a modern bike, intending to spend less time travelling.

-At the Titan Tower, same time-

*Knock Knock*

"Come in"

"Alright Star, it took a bit of time to find the guy but I got him. There's literally no pictures of him and all I got is his current address... ain't that strange." Cyborg said as he entered Starfire's room.

He spent the entire day yesterday searching for a trace of the supposed Tamaranian.

Starfire was lying on her bed reading a book but as soon as Cyborg told her the good news her eyes lit up.

"Thank you Cyborg! I knew you could do it!" She shouted and held his hand in both of hers, forgetting about her superior strength.

"I-it's alright" he said in a high pitched voice, gritting his teeth as his hands were getting crushed.

"How do we make contact with him though? I tried planning something with Raven but none of the ideas seemed good enough." Starfire said.

"You could walk by his house every now and then... see when he comes out and stuff." Cyborg says.

"Doesn't it sound a bit like stalking?" Starfire asked with a frown.

"It's not... because you've got good intentions! Yeah, that's right." Cyborg replied.

"Umm, I see." Starfire nodded reluctantly.

-An hour later, Raxdos wondering the streets of Metropolis-

Raxdos had just arrived in Metropolis and so far he was quite impressed with the city. The streets were very clean, police look quite friendly and people here don't swear six times in the same sentence.

He saw a Café with not so many people inside and decided to check it out, having heard about coffee but never tasted it before.

"Hello sir, what would you like?"

"Umm, I'd like a medium Latte." Raxdos spoke after scanning the menu, choosing randomly.

"Takeaway?"

"Yeh"

The coffee took less than two minutes to make, having quite a pleasant aroma. Raxdos couldn't say the same thing about its taste though, after taking only one sip he already felt like spitting it back out.

*How the fuck do you humans drink this?!* He thought while looking with shock at the other people in the Café.

As soon as he got out of the shop he threw the cup in the nearest bin he found, swearing to never try that poison again.

What he needs right now is something to get rid of this horrible aftertaste and to his luck the solution is found right across the street; a classic burger joint.

He was willing to queue up for his newfound favourite food- the cheeseburger.

*Ring*

The bell by the door rang as a tall bulky man and a shorter blonde girl entered the shop after Raxdos. They were both quite attractive so people would give them second glances, but none approached since they looked like a perfect couple.

"I think I'll just take a drink Kal." Said the girl as they queued behind Raxdos.

"Did you eat lunch already?" Replied Kal.

*Rumble*

The girls stomach answered for her which made Kal chuckle and the girl blush.

"Come on Kara, you're not fat. I really don't get you girls, you either don't eat at all or you eat too much."

At this point of their conversation Raxdos glances behind him, just out of curiosity. When he did he saw the man first and was surprised to see that he was quite tall and well built.

He turned to the girl who at that moment also moved her eyes towards him, both of them instantly recognising each other.

Raxdos knew her as the girl that crashed into him and destroyed his bike, she knew him as the guy who saved her from Darkseid.

Kara went quite at that moment and Raxdos simply turned around, hoping that she'll get the message.

"Kara... Kara, are you listening?" Her cousin Kal waved his hand in her face as she blanked out for 10 seconds.

"O-oh, I was only daydreaming. It's probably only the hunger getting to me. What were you saying?" She answered with a slight stutter.

"Lois texted me to buy up some stuff before we get home, do you mind ordering while I'll do that?"

"Yeah sure, I don't mind." She replied but once Kal left she became even more aware of the man in front of her.
