prologue: A Dream

"Hello, can you tell me a story?"

Looking around I saw a girl in rags bleeding. I responded "yes, I can"

I told a story like nothing she'd heard of before. she was laughing but tears won't stop leaking from my eyes. then the moment came, the girl stop laughing and looking at her eyes that was still open; I close them.

with that my determination was at its peak.

The world that let this happen must change.

I woke up. I was at the floor on the right side of my bed.

Four in the morning I don't know why I always wake up on this ungodly hour.

fixing my bed I went to the kitchen put some bread on the toaster and fried an egg with butter. I open the television and put on the news.

"This just in the world bank is celebrating it's 7 year celebration"

seven years huh. that makes it seven and half year after the war.

after eating my breakfast and listening to the news I went straight to a company I made called 'the rifts of the connector'.

it's with me making portals to places around the solar system interplanetary travels in just seconds. the line was always full and I'm the only one who was making the portal but my staffs were the one checking peoples credentials. unlike most travel company mine's the one that also allows people to meet kings if the kings allow it.

Most people that comes are specialist that wants to challenge a king for his position but for the past six months I've seen no one succeed at all.

after all what they don't know is that the weakest king can already destroy an island the weaklings here aren't even capable of destroying a city block much less an entire island. But of course it's not always about the destructive capacity sometimes it's also about durability and speed or maybe what people like to call hacks.

hacks are special powers that can overpower someone stronger to a certain limit. but good luck each kings has a hack of their own.

they should really know their place. no matter how one tries natural talent with hard work will beat anyone.

Sigh the dreams of people are ever changing.

I use to remember when people dreams were simpler.

My wish use to be just to explore the universe.

But I guess time has changed and so have my dreams.

well it's almost seven in the morning time to start.

My name is Dianna Redrum I'm looking for my brother Poseidon my only lead to him is the rifts of the connector.

the rifts of the connector allows people to connect anywhere in the solar system and even connect people to the kings.

my brother is such a person a king and unlike most kings which just rules a country my brother rules an entire ocean, the pacific. but as of the moment he's on another planet terraforming it. a gift from the emperor Zeus 'cause he's about to reach the threshold and become and emperor of his own.

Emperors unlike kings rules entire planets from different solar systems in the galaxy as of now there's ten solar system outside the main one that's ruled.

And unlike kings which delves into the politics of the planets, emperors on the other hand literally owns it.

it's so good to be a specialist cause you have powers that before we can only dream of. But sadly I'm not one of them. even though the physique of humans now are tens of times better than the peak before and now thanks to that cars are now rarely used cause a human now can run 80km/hour for hours without tiring. and most fuel cars are now gone only electric cars remain. an average human now can punch a concrete wall and the wall is the one that's damage.

sigh I wish I had the ability to teleport.

sadly I'm not a specialist. I've arrived at the front of the line finally I can see my brother.

As I look in front of me I saw someone who looks strangely familiar. But her hair color and her eyes were different. Now's not the time to think of stuff.

"Name?"

"Dianna"

"Business?"

"to meet my brother Poseidon"

so that's why she looked familiar it's his sibling.

"okay, let's skip the talk are you prepared?"

"YES"

I opened a portal to where Poseidon was at a planet that's soon to be called Atlantis. I step in the portal to stare at a palace made out of quarts and the door was made out of gold. I shouted.

"Poseidon, your sister has arrived"

and with that the palace door opened.

"okay, miss Dianna I'll be back in 30 min as per agreement in the contract"

"thank you"

My little sister has arrived hmm.

"Guards open the palace door"

Seeing my little sister walk in front of me I smiled a little but then I heard her voice.

"BROTHER WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME TO TAKE OVER THE COMPANY ALONE!?"

as soon as she said that she rushed forward and aimed a punch at my face. I stayed and took the punch. But it was halted an inch from my face. I didn't do anything she just stop on her own.

"well my dearest brother I see that you're still as arrogant as ever"

"to be fair your punch will not harm me one bit"

we've talked about the company that our family owns and she wanted to not carry the burden alone.

she's basically asking for help.

hmmm I don't know who to ask for help that i can trust to not only handle the affairs but also protect my sister. I can't just ask one of my subordinates because they're important to terraforming Atlantis.

Okay, I've got it. I'll call in a favor.

after that 30 mins has pass and the connector arrived.

"Loki, hold up"(Poseidon)

"yes?"(Loki)

"remember the favor you owe me?"(Poseidon)

"yeah, what about it"(Loki)

"well lucky for you I now know what the favor will be"(Poseidon)

Loki with a semi surprised he looked eager compare to his uncaring face before.

"it's quite simple"(Poseidon)

I explained my plan to him and his response was.

"nope, I'm not baby sitting"(Loki)

"please, plus I'll owe you a favor"(Poseidon)

"hmm, okay fine but only for 6 months"(Loki)

"Deal"(Poseidon)

And with that they left. Loki take care of my sister for me
