"You could help me pick them up," Derek said as he tried to pick up the things he dropped before anyone might step on them.
"You were the one to dramatically drop them. Why should I help?" Vincent replied. "Why would I reward stupidity?"
"The more you speak the more I know it's one hundred percent you. Only you treat me this way. Well, you and Jane's mother," Derek stood back up.
"How are the in-laws?"
"I have no clue. Since we took the children, Jane's mother has not been talking to us which is a good thing for me but it sucks for Jane. Her mother might be crazy, overbearing, rude, judgmental-"
"I get the point," Vincent stopped Dererk before he could give a hundred more words.
