Ch 140: Battle on the horizon.
"It's time." Jarvis suddenly announces over the intercom in the academy.
"Huh?" Kyra says sitting up putting the welding goggles on her forehead.
"Salem is making her move towards atlas." Jarvis says
"You accounted for travel time?" Kyra asks
"Yes, you should get there 2 hours after her." Jarvis says only in the workshop room.
"Great tell everyone to suit up." Kyra says pushing the button on the T-60 power armor causing it to close before she leaves it and walks away.

"Time to go?" Osaka asks walking to a Vertibird that has Kyra on a ladder under its wing.
"Yep, I was hoping we would see uncle Qrow before we had to leave by they are about 30 minutes out and we need to leave." Kyra says stepping down and looks into the fuelstik.
"Fuel seems good no water." Kyra says checking the indicators on the wings.
"And I am coming with." Tai says walking into the hangar.
Yes the Academy has a hangar.
A bunch of rose petals appear next to Kyra.
"Here! Not late!" Ruby shouts arriving wearing her Danmachi armor.
"Can I come?" Hana asks flying into the hangar in her mech.
"Sure, we could probably load that onto the vertibird." Kyra says as Blake and Weiss show up.
"Yang lost." Blake says
"Yep! She has to watch Naruto and Harriet." Weiss says
"Really? Okay let's go then." Kyra says a little confused but someone needs to watch Naruto.
"Okay, I call co pilot!" Hana says leaving her mech in the place where power armor is usually stored.
Kyra puts on her headset followed by everyone else.
"Wait!!!" Yang is heard as she runs into the hangar.
Kyra puts her headset around her neck.
"Who's going to watch Naruto!" Kyra shouts
"Amber! She said she wanted to watch the grandkids!" Yang says hoping into the Vertibird putting on her headset.
"I still can't believe dad remarried." Ruby mutters
"He deserves happiness." Kyra shrugs and says
"I'm right here you know?" Tai asks
"Preflight checklist?" Hana asks
"I did the outside checks waiting for everyone to suit up." Kyra says as she taxis the plane out of the hangar turning it off one last time.
"Fuel pump?" Hana asks
"Fuel pump, check." Kyra says
"Flight controls?" Hana asks
"Free and correct." Kyra replies.
"Instruments and Radio?" Hana asks
"Check though radio is useless till we get to Atlas airspace." Kyra says
"Landing gear?" Hana asks
"Set for take off." Kyra says
"Altimeter?" Hana asks
"Set." Kyra says tapping on it.
"Directional Gyro?" Hana asks
"Set." Kyra replies
"Fuel gauges?" Hana asks
"Checked and fully fueled." Kyra replies
"Trim?" Hana asks
"Set" Kyra replies
"This is so boring take off already." Yang says
"Do you want the plane to die over the ocean?" Kyra asks
"No." Yang says going quiet
"Propellers?" Hana asks
"Exercise" Kyra
"Magnetos" Hana
"Checked" Kyra replies
"Engine?" Hana asks
Kyra presses a button.
The engines roar to life.
"Idle." Kyra replies
"Flaps?" Hana asks
Kyra flips a few switches.
And watches as the flaps change a couple different positions.
"Good and set for takeoff." Kyra says
"Is everyone fastened in?" Hana asks
"Yes!" a course of people reply
"It says parking break but I'm fairly certain you don't have one." Hana says
"Yep, good for take off." Kyra says pushing forwards the throttle as they take off like a plane since they have the room.
