Autumns adventure. Beginning of the end.

Taylor wakes up startled before realizing she's in her room. Looking to her left in a panic she notices Autumn asleep beside her.

"It was just a dream?" Taylor says aloud in wonder.

The song boogie fever can be heard from outside.

Taylor looked out of the window and was saw that there was a literal block party going on in the street. Everybody was celebrating.

"I guess it wasn't?" Taylor says in shock that is before she decides to go back to cuddling Autumn.

Taylor cuddles with the sleeping catgirl for what feels like hours.

At this point, Taylor doesn't take notice of the van watching her house. No one really does, the current party will probably last well over a week.

"Logic?" Taylor whispers

"Yes?" Logic replies

"What happened?" Taylor asks

"Autumn has ended the end bringer threat." Logic says

"That's a good thing right?" Taylor asks

Logic's hologram does a so so motion.

"Overall yes, however now there is no entity keeping pressure on the remnant of the Soviet Union or the Chinese union imperial. The Yangban is already looking for the parahuman responsible for the… Taylor duck!" Logic shouts

The window is suddenly blown to bits as a cape rushes Taylor with a knife.

"Hello! I was told by the Fedora woman I would find some interesting people here?" The man says with a joker-like grin.

Autumn at this point is well awake.

"Oh, it's just the joker… call Batman I'm going back to bed." Autumn says

"I ain't no joker! The name's Jack! you know what? For that you die!" Jack announces

With a slash an incorporeal knife is projected right where autumns neck was a millisecond ago.

"Ohhh! She was right you are interesting! The 9 are back in Brockton Bay!" Jack shouts jumping backward out of the window.

"We need to go!" Autumn says in a panic not wanting to fight where they are.

Suddenly there is a massive sound wave that shatters all the glass in Taylor's neighborhood.

Taylor instinctively covers her face to protect it from the shards of glass. Once the air is relatively clear Taylor sees autumn is on the ground holding onto her bleeding cat ears.

"Crap." Taylor says picking Autumn up wrapping Autumn's arm around her shoulder to lead her away. Taylor gets through the door and out onto the street.

The street once full of happy citizens and party goers is now full of corpses. Among the bodies is a nude woman who's skin appears to be zebra stripes chowing down on the corpses.

The woman looks up and sniffs the air for a second in an animalistic like way. She suddenly turns their way and smiles.

Autumn suddenly gets up on her own.

"Hearin' is gone. I got my balance back mostly" Autumn says

Taylor nods and points at the zebra-skinned woman who is now running towards them from down the road.

Autumn punches the cannibal, who disappears into nothing.

"I wish I activated the contingency," Autumn says out loud looking at all the bodies.

"what?" Taylor asks however since Autumn was facing away she didn't even notice Taylor talking to her.

Taylor grabs Autumn's shoulder and turns her around.

"What?" Taylor asks mouthing it out for Autumn

"Logic, has contingency plans, for literally anything. We should probably get to the tent and we ca-" Autumn is cut off by the house exploding.

"Oh, well shit. I need to contact my mom." Autumn says in a little bit of panic.

There is a pop as a person teleports in.

"Mouse protector?" Taylor asks

There is a zombified groan as several metal claws go through Autumn's chest.

"The cat has died to the murder rat! are those real cat ears!!! I can't wait to pick your brain!" Is said in a cheery sing song voice.

"Autumn! I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!" Taylor shouts crying

Taylor suddenly has her range extend to the entire city as she second triggers. All the insects suddenly swarm and push out of buildings and the ground when suddenly the connection cuts and she no longer has control of her powers.

"What!" Taylor shouts before hatchet face beheads her.

Taylor wakes and jumps out of bed frantically checking her body. Looking back at her bed she sees Autumn is still asleep and cries in relief.

"It was just a dream," Taylor says

That was until she realized her range now extended to the entire city of Brockton Bay
