"I'm so scared."
He rolls his eyes. He looks at his resting arms.
The moment he laid eyes on Emmanuel, he couldn't stop himself from drowning in his eyes, he couldn't get rid of it; it just wouldn't leave him. He didn't stop wanting something that he thought that he'd never be able to have. He tried to conceal it, but he wasn't an actor. Derek knew that he had consequences to face for falling so easily, after all, they didn't belong together. They mostly hung around at the library or their room the other during their stay at the old man. It only drew his feelings in more. It wasn't surprising that the others knew, but he was still discomforted. He didn't like this vulnerability.
He felt stupid.
I glanced over at him. He was busy in his thoughts, and his face was getting cranky. I didn't bother him.
I let out a tired breath.
