Chapter 16. Taken

I drove to the mall thinking heavily. Was I right to just walk out after what Roman told me? Was I right to say nothing? Was I right to think I didn't feel the same for him? I guess I wasn't ready to face how I really felt about him right now.

I pulled up in the mall's car park and found a good space, then immediately went down to the stores. The mall was crowded with both human and were's from my pack. I even met Sofia while walking around.

"Sofia." I walked towards her and instantly pulled her into an embrace.

She returned the gesture and offered a greeting. "Did you see Otis today?"She asked probably wondering where he had really been.

"I did. He came over at the house. He is probably still there with Roman." I said assuring her with a smile.

"Good." She smiled back.

"Well, it was lovely to see you Arlene." She said her goodbye.

"And you too." I smiled. "We should have another dinner soon. And this time, my mate can join us."
