Chapter 14: Go on a Date
Never in Erin’s life has his heart and head felt so out of sync.
He thinks back to yesterday when he was removing the weeds by the fence. He knew Victor and Ben were in the front room of the house as he could feel Victor staring at him. It took every ounce of self-control he had to not look at Victor. Keeping his back turned to focus on the task at hand made his stomach churn in anger and guilt.
“Have the dreams stopped?” Alex asks around a mouth full of popcorn, wide eyes never leaving the television screen.
“Hm?” Erin turns to his left where Alex is sitting, legs stretched out in front of him on the couch. “Oh, yeah. No more sex-craved wolf dreams from me.”
Alex squints momentarily before sliding down the couch more. “That’s good then.”
