Chapter-13

"Navya, let's go!" Mohit shouted from the living room. He was ready to pick up Rishabh and Aunt Sangeeta from the airport this morning.

Navya came out of the main bedroom door, slinging a small brown shoulder bag. Suddenly she remembered something. She hurried into the master bedroom again, through the connecting door to her own room, then opened the drawer of her bedside table. The silver jewelery box lay there.

Navya took a deep breath. She took out the wedding ring that Mohit had given her. She put it on the ring finger of her right hand. The size is just right. The ring also looks beautiful on her white skin. But it still feels like something is missing.

(At the airport)

Rishabh and Aunt Sangeeta's plane landed at nine o'clock in the morning. Aunt Sangeeta looks beautiful with a short bob haircut that is polished golden brown. Her big round eyes wear contact lenses of almost the same color with her hair, so people could mistake her as an American lady.

As soon as she met Navya, Aunt Sangeeta immediately hugged her tightly and for a long time. It seems like Aunt Sangeeta really missed her most dear niece.

(At home)

After arriving home and having lunch, Aunt Sangeeta immediately pulled Navya into the room she occupied across from the main room. She hurriedly closed the door, led Navya to sit on the edge of the bed, and looked at Navya with worried eyes.

"Your papa is really crazy, isn't he! How could he force you to marry at this age? You're still young! I'm in shock, you know that? What do you know about raising a good child? You just don't get married!' Like that, try it!" Aunt Sangeeta spilled all her annoyance about their marriage.

Navya smiled bitterly. She could imagine how her Papa and Aunt Sangeeta would look like when they were fighting. Both are stubborn and don't want to give in.

"What does he think marriage is a joke? I would prefer not to get married, because there really isn't anything suitable. Eh...he even forced her own child to marry someone much older!" Aunt Sangeeta continued her annoyance. "I know that Mohit's Papa, Sanjay Chouhan is a good person. His son, Mohit also looks good. He is an adult, his education is high, but... that doesn't guarantee that you two will be an ideal match." Aunt Sangeeta said to Navya.

Aunt Sangeeta took a deep breath. "If I was here that day, I would have banned your marriage completely! But, well... what else can I do? The rice has turned into porridge..." Aunt Sangeeta said and took a deep breath again.

Aunt Sangeeta held both of Navya's hands. "Now, you can tell the truth to me. How do you feel? Is Mohit nice to you?" She asked Navya.

Their eyes met each other. Two weeks ago, when her dad forced her to marry, Navya might be able to cry aloud if asked like this by Aunt Sangeeta at that time.

However, after Mohit offered her a deal, everything changed. She didn't feel tortured, forced, or trapped. Instead, Mohit gave her freedom. She can stay in Delhi accordingly to her will. She is also free to study and carry out activities as usual.

"Mmm ..., everything is fine, Auntie. Mohit is also good with me," Navya said earnestly. "Auntie, don't worry. I'm really happy here." Navya smiled to reassure Aunt Sangeeta.

Aunt Sangeeta tilted her head slightly. "Are you sure? Does Mohit really love you? Has he ever played rough, or forced you to serve him in bed?" She asked this question looking deeply into her eyes.

Navya gasped at her question. The question Aunt Sangeeta asked was very far from the description of the attitude of Mohit. He couldn't possibly be rude to her, let alone play hard.

Navya shook her head quickly. "No, Auntie. Mohit is not like that at all." She replied confidently.

Auntie Sangeeta still looked her like probing her face. "So he really loves you?" She asked her next question to Navya.

Suddenly, Navya's heart skipped a beat. "How can I tell what Mohit feels for me?" She said to herself in her mind.

"Yes, Auntie..." Navya whispered in a barely audible voice. Her eyes stared at the diamond ring on the her finger, as if hoping the ring would give her some meaning.

(At Rishikesh)

"Yes! Rishikesh!" Rishabh cheered with joy, as Mohit's SUV approached their destination. The view of the sea and the sandy beach is visible from afar.

Mohit's car stopped in front of a luxury resort located on the coast of Rishikesh. Navya never expected that Rishabh would have planned their vacation while their journey to Delhi. He had already rented three rooms at the resort. One for Aunt Sangeeta, one for him, and one for sure for Navya and Mohit both!

"You both should thank me. You haven't had your honeymoon yet, right?" Rishabh said to Navya and Mohit confidently.

Mohit just laughed while he taking the suitcase out of the trunk of the car. Meanwhile, Navya felt like pinching Rishabh as hard as she could. "Why is my brother so smart? Why should we have to stay at a resort in Rishikesh if we have a house in Delhi? But I can't do anything." Navya said to herself. Everything had been planned, and Aunt Sangeeta also looked happy. She for sure rarely get to enjoy the holidays because she is very workaholic.

"Wow! Nice place, huh! I didn't pick the wrong one, even though I only saw it on the internet." Rishabh kept on babbling when they all entered inside the resort lobby.

The resort was indeed very luxurious and comfortable. The view of the South Sea can be seen directly from the resort, there is even an infinity pool at the back of the resort. Swimming in the infinity pool will give the impression that you are swimming in the sea.

"You're really smart, Rishabh. For the first time I'm agree with this line" Aunt Sangeeta joked Rishabh.

Rishabh laughed and put his arm around her shoulders. "Thank God you agreed..... I'm most handsome. I know that." He said while laughing.

"Ummm.... don't get me wrong! Now I have added one more nephew, Mohit" Aunt Sangeeta's finger pointed towards Mohit. "You guys are rivals, who is more handsome," she joked again.

Rishabh laughed as he turned to look at Mohit. "In terms of age, I won, Auntie. But when it comes to appearance, each of us has advantages. Mohit sir is really favorite for me. Navya like men who are mature, authoritative, and calm. Isn't that right, Navya?" This time, Rishabh turned to Navya's shoulder as if to tease her.

Navya couldn't stand Rishabh's chatter anymore. She immediately pinched Rishabh's waist with all her might, venting her pent-up frustration. Rishabh screeched in pain.

"Awwww...! Navya! Uh, stop! Stop! It hurts, you know!" Rishabh kept screaming as he tried to run away, because Navya was still chasing him to pinch him again. "What are you doing? Why are you so fierce to me?" Rishabh asked Navya while running.

"You are really very noisy!" Navya shouted back at Rishabh.

Rishabh ran back to Mohit and Aunt Sangeeta who were standing in front of their bedroom door. Navya chased after him.

"Mohit sir, that's Navya! Save me please" Rishabh seemed to complain, hurriedly hiding behind Mohit's body.

Mohit laughed at Rishabh's face and Navya's innocence. To Navya's surprise, Mohit suddenly blocked her steps, wrapped his arms around her waist, and held her hand gently.

"Well, Navya... It's not good for other guests if we are noisy," Mohit said to Navya gently. His gaze was so shady looking at Navya.

Navya froze at this moment. Her heart was beating fast and her face immediately turned red when she came face to face with Mohit's handsome face for the first time. She could only be silent in Mohit's arms. Never before had their bodies been this close. She just realised that her body was only as high as Mohit's shoulders.

Mohit smiled looking at Navya's red face. He released his embrace, and took Navya's hand to enter the room they were going to occupy.

Navya still heard the sound of Rishabh laughing as if teasing her, but her body seemed unable to react anymore after Mohit's embrace.

Once they were inside the room and the door was closed, Mohit let go of her hand and put their suitcases into the wardrobe.

Navya was still silent, trying to calm her heart that was beating wildly. She choose to distract herself by looking around the room.

Their room was spacious and comfortable. A jumbo sized bed is located in the middle. At the end of the room, there is a large window and terrace with a view overlooking the sea.

"Tonight I will sleep on the sofa. You don't have to be afraid," suddenly Mohit spoke. He shifted the long sofa beside the window so that his back was to the bed, as if he wanted to prove it to Navya.

Navya felt bad. "Because of Rishabh, Mohit had to sleep on the sofa! Yet at home, he can sleep comfortably." Navya thought in her mind.

"But it's not comfortable on the sofa, Mohit. Just ask for an extra bed, okay," Navya suggested to Mohit.

"That's even more suspicious again," Mohit responded with a smile. "It's okay, it's comfortable. I'm used to sleeping anywhere." Mohit assured Navya.

He walked towards the bedroom door. "You go clean up and change clothes first. I'll come back later, okay?" Mohit said to Navya and went outside of the room.

Navya sighed. Rishabh may have a point. Mohit is a man who is mature, also always polite and respectful for her.

"Why would this man go to great lengths to go through this charade, sacrificing his time, energy, and even himself? With his charm, he could have got any girl who happily fell into his arms." Navya said to herself in her mind.

Navya shook her head, coming to her senses. She quickly opened the suitcase and took a change of clothes, then went inside the bathroom.
