AAA story

I've been addicted to Elden Ring. So much so that have put hours into it than FFXV, and Nier:Automata combined. And I believe it to be the best game of all time. But I am scared now, because I know that Fromsoft wil never make a game as good as this.

It suffers from what I like to call the dog analogy.

it's 2012, the new call of duty is coming out. Call of Duty Ghosts. What was the most talked about point... A fucking dog. 1 minute and 50 seconds of bobby kodicky or whatever his name is spent almost 2 minutes, of a 10 minute presentation, talking about a fucking dog.

2015, Fallout 4 gets released... Another fucking dog, another full 2 minutes of them talking about a dog.

2019, Farcry 6, a dog. Again.

What I'm saying is that when a game studio cant make a better game than the last, they add something so stupid and make it their main selling point.

Gta5 has a dog, that dosen't make it a bad game. Because the FUCKING WORLD ANNOUNCMENT isn't about a dog.

So when a studio spends 20% of their trailer and announcment on a dog, or just 1 feature, it means they've loet hope.

And I think Fromsoft will suffer from that. There was really nowhere to go from Darksouls 3's amazing Dlc's and endings. The only thing they could do is release Bloodbourne remastered. But, they did something so simple that everybody does it nowadays.

They made it bigger. They made Darksouls 3, but bigger, way bigger, alot bigger. it's basically what Zelda did, though Fromsoft was making ER before Botw but knowing most people there is a Botw fan somewhere.

And now I have a question.... What next? Bloodbourne 2? Demon souls 2? Elden Ring 2? Even if they released those, there would be nothing new.

I think of game studios like a story.

There is the expedition , the rising action, the , the falling action, and the end resolution.

Let's take Ubisoft as an example, aka a punching bag.

Expedition - Assasins Creed

Rising - Assasins Creed Black Flag

Climax - FarCry 3

Falling - Rainbow Six Siege

Resolution - Anything after 2017

I have never seen a fire that doesn't fade. And the same goes for game studios. But, Fromsoft is the only game company I think has atleast a small chance to continue their Climax.

Maybe, Just Maybe. The Climax will be the Falling action. And bankruptcy, will not be the end.
