Chapter 143: General Zod is Coming?

Amanda Waller's eyes flared with anger as she watched June Moone dare to follow through with Su Sheng's command. Even though June acted as if she had no choice, each slap she delivered packed considerable force. Several times, Amanda Waller considered pressing the bomb's remote control, but she hesitated. She couldn't tell if Su Sheng was certain she wouldn't dare press it or if he genuinely didn't care about Betty's life.

If Betty died, Amanda figured the consequences would be far more severe than just a slap.

So, despite her anger, she restrained herself.

June Moone delivered over a dozen slaps before Su Sheng lazily called her to stop. She hid her satisfaction from the small act of revenge, stepped aside, and lowered her head. Amanda Waller, blood dripping from her mouth, struggled to stand up. She glanced at June Moone, then at Dinah Lance, who was also struggling to rise. Suddenly, Amanda Waller pulled out a gun and shot the kneeling soldiers.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Her shots were precise and decisive, each bullet striking the soldiers in the forehead, killing them instantly.

This brutal move shocked everyone—except Su Sheng.

Betty initially thought Amanda Waller would shoot her out of spite, but she hadn't expected those innocent soldiers to die instead. Even Dinah Lance, who had worked with Amanda Waller for years, was taken aback. As for June Moone? Her body trembled, and she lowered her head even further. Amanda Waller tossed the gun aside, walked over to Betty, and removed the bomb collar from her neck. She then turned to Su Sheng.

"Enough games. Let's talk business!"

"I must say, I'm impressed. That was quite the show." Su Sheng clapped his hands and chuckled. Amanda Waller's ruthlessness was well-known, and her dark heart matched her dark skin. "You've earned my attention. What do you want to discuss?"

Amanda Waller didn't answer immediately. Instead, she glanced at Laurel standing by the door and Thea, who had just finished her shower.

"Is she Oliver's sister?" Amanda Waller asked quietly.

"I'll let her go after I've had my fun." Su Sheng's response was cold. He was referring to the psychological torment he planned to inflict on Arrow and Black Canary by keeping Thea captive. But Amanda Waller seemed to interpret his words differently.

It was understandable. Few would suspect that Thea was willingly cooperating with Su Sheng to stage her own kidnapping.

"I can pretend none of this happened. I was never here, and Betty has been returned to you. But... I want some information." Amanda Waller noticed Su Sheng's lack of interest in her offer, so she sweetened the deal. "I can also turn a blind eye to your future activities."

"These terms aren't particularly thrilling, but... let's start with what information you want." Su Sheng replied nonchalantly.

Amanda Waller carefully considered her words before speaking. "Are there any aliens on Earth?"

Su Sheng's curiosity was piqued. Amanda Waller wouldn't risk asking such a question without solid evidence. Even if they had encountered people with extraordinary abilities, it wouldn't necessarily lead them to believe in aliens. She must have some substantial information—likely from beyond Earth.

Could they have discovered Superman? Unlikely. At this time, Superman was probably still grappling with his own identity, not yet aware of his Kryptonian heritage. Even with his unique abilities, the existence of superhumans and meta-humans like those in Central City might lead them to assume he was just another one of them, not an alien.

So, could it be General Zod?

General Zod, one of the few surviving Kryptonians after the destruction of Krypton, had been imprisoned in the Phantom Zone for rebellion. After escaping when Krypton exploded, he was determined to rebuild Krypton by finding the Codex and planned to terraform Earth into a new Krypton. His arrival marked the beginning of the Justice League era.

If Su Sheng's memory served him right, the United States had received an alien signal from Ellesmere Island in the movie.

"Answer me!" Amanda Waller demanded, her gaze sharp and unyielding. Su Sheng's reaction to her question about aliens on Earth was strange—he seemed curious and surprised, but not in a way that suggested ignorance. It was more like he was wondering how she had discovered this secret.

He definitely knew something.

"Haven't you already guessed?" Su Sheng replied with a casual chuckle.

"Really... there are really aliens? What else do you know?" Amanda Waller pressed further.

"I've already given you your answer." Su Sheng's casual demeanor infuriated Amanda Waller, who was now gnashing her teeth in frustration.

Amanda Waller clenched her teeth, her voice solemn. "If the safety of the entire planet is at stake, I'm willing to risk everything, including my own life."

"Do you believe I'll destroy the Earth before the aliens arrive?" Su Sheng's eyes narrowed as he chuckled. "Take a guess—do you think I would?"

"No, you won't. Where would you go if Earth was destroyed? Even if you survived, everything here would cease to exist, and you'd be bored to death." Amanda Waller's voice was firm, confident in her assessment.

"Perhaps." Su Sheng nodded in agreement. Amanda Waller breathed a slight sigh of relief until Su Sheng continued. "But maybe I could destroy only the United States and leave the rest of the Earth intact. You couldn't stop me, and no one else could either. The power of a single country? To me, that's nothing. Your vision is too narrow. So go ahead, start gathering your information. They'll be here soon."

They? More than one alien?

Amanda Waller gave Su Sheng one last unwilling glance before turning to leave.

"Don't forget these corpses," Su Sheng called out after her.

Amanda Waller grunted and motioned for Dinah Lance and June Moone to load the bodies into the cars. The three women then left the villa in two SUVs.

"They...?"

Laurel and Thea approached Su Sheng, asking in hushed voices.

"A.R.G.U.S.," Su Sheng replied casually before turning to Betty. "Now, tell me, how did you get caught by A.R.G.U.S.?"
