Chapter 4

In a room, Mr Hitler was in front of a crystal ball trying to see the future.

"Show me the chosen one" he commanded

A battleground was shown with dead bodies everywhere.

"Go on" he urged

The ball proceeded to show the a man wearing a cloak. He was about to remove the hood. He waited in anticipation until..... The ball went blank.

He screamed, throwing books on the table away out of frustration.

"Don't be too hard on yourself" Keon said, entering the room with a book in his hands..

"I'm trying. I really am"

"Give it a rest Hitler. You've tried your best"

"Arrgh" Amelia entered into her dorm in anger.

"Calm down" Jacqueline said. She was lying down, effortlessly throwing daggers on her wall target.

Amelia flopped on her bed and screamed into her pillow.

"I'm really trying" she cried out "It's like I can't do anything but if I make body contact with someone, a calamity happens. I don't know what to do"

"Chill. It's only your first day"

"That's the point. How will other days be for me then?"

"They'll get better"

"I just wish I could go to my own planet, you know"

"And do what?"

"Live "

"You're crazy. Get some sleep"

"I'll do that"

Charice and Wendy entered the room.

"Hey" they greeted

"Hi girls" Jacqueline replied

"What's up with Walker?" Charice asked

"I had a long day" Amelia groaned

"Sorry"

"It's time for lights out" Wendy announced

They all laid in their beds and got ready to sleep.

"Everyone ready?" Jacqueline asked

"Yes"

She threw a weapon to the light switch to put it off.

"Bull's eye" she said, throwing her fists in the air

"Good night guys" Wendy said

They said their good nights and off to dreamland they went.

After an hour of tossing and turning, Amelia couldn't sleep. She got up and put on her slippers. She left the room and tip toed down the hallway till she got outside.

"Ah" she sighed

She loved the feeling of the night's breeze and the cold grass underneath her feet. She bent her head back to feel the wind better. She sighed in content. This was way better than sleeping, for now anyway.

"Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" A voice said from behind her

She froze in shock, too scared to turn around.

"Uh I.... "

"Turn around"

She did as told. A man who looked like he was in his early 20's stood there. She assumed he was a teacher in the school.

"I'm so sorry sir I... I couldn't sleep"

He cut her off with a smile

"It's okay. I won't tell"

"You won't?"

"No"

She sighed in relief.

"Thank you sir"

"Come on, let's talk".

He led her under a tree where they both sat down.

"You look pale" he noticed

"My day didn't go well" she muttered

"Why's that?"

"I couldn't cast a spell"

"Why not?"

"I don't know. I tried as hard as I could"

He saw the drops of tears coming out from her eyes.

"Don't cry darling. You don't always get it on your first try"

"Everyone else did"

"You know what, let's make a deal. We meet here every night for training"

Her eyes widened in surprise. She was confused too. She just met this man.

"Really? You'll train me personally? "

"Yes"

"Wait... What's in it for you"

He laughed

"You're a smart girl"

She shrugged

"It can't be for free"

"You win best student of year one by the end of this term. Prove that my time hasn't been wasted"

"That's all?"

"Yes"

She jumped on him, tackling him to the ground in excitement. He laughed .

"Thank you so much" she said as more tears falling from her eyes

"It's okay"

She got off him and sat back down in her former position

"I'm Amelia Walker" she introduced "What's your name?"

He grinned at her.

"Jeran. Jeran Woods"
