Chapter 1: The Summon

A young man laying in his bed, his eyes are closed but awake. He is utterly bored and has nothing to do because he thinks that the world became stagnant. "Well, my name is Uno. The first-born, hence 'Uno'. I frequently watch streams or any entertainment that might pique my interest."

Suddenly, an extremely loud gong sound exploded!!! Then, it was followed by a grim voice that announced "All of you people, are now qualified to ascend to a higher realm. Prove your race is worth its existence."

Once the voice is gone. Uno ran outside and look at the surrounding, in case it might be a prank of an influencer.

Someone shouted, "What in the heck was that? That voice was deep as hell"

A lady said "My ear is still ringing because of that ridiculous sound"

Then, Uno saw his young brother named Dos, he is on his way home when incidentally encountered the mysterious bizarre announcement. Uno hurriedly met up with his younger brother.

"Dos, did you hear that voice on your way home?" Dos answered "Yeah, it almost broke my ear drum. Did you know, what it was?"

Uno said, "So that means you did not see anything, that's strange". Dos replied "Huh?"

When Uno was in the middle of uttering the word "nevermind". A scream was heard and a dozen pillars of light erupted. When Uno looked back at his brother. Both brothers are now beginning to be surrounded by light and start fading away. Uno hurriedly said "Be calm, whatever happens, I will find you"

Uno's vision is blocked by the light. The light that blocks Uno's vision is gradually disappearing. When Uno regains his vision. Uno found out that he appeared in a huge grassland and there is a Gigantic Sun from afar. "Fuck, this breeze smells like fresh air. Wow. Hmm... There are no mountains or anything in the distance. Where the fuck am I?"

Uno looked around and roam into his east for about 10 minutes. Uno did not find anything. All of a sudden, a grim voice announced "All of the people on Earth (????) is now summoned for ascension! Be ready, you will be tested to prove your race but before that. The universe wants to test your existence."

Uno thought "What the fuck?!. Okay... Stay calm Uno, you watched a lot of fucked-up shit on the internet. You have been ready for this." Suddenly, a holographical screen appears in his vision. "Fucking KNEW IT!!! So this means, this is serious, or am I drugged?"

Uno focused his eyes and checked the contents on the screen.

I guess reading 'Art of War by Sun Tzu' paid off??" Uno generally understands what the Core Stats signifies but does not understand the specifics of what it really meant.

Rustle...Rustle... Something jumped and attacked in front of Uno. Uno dived into his right side but got scratched by the unknown thing. Uno quickly get-up and received a notification.

Uno read the Screen and thought "I'm strong as a rat?!, gonna beat this shit outta here". Then, the [Grass Rat] charged forward and Uno tried to kick it but it jumped into his face. Uno quickly punched it and created distance. The [Grass Rat] was knocked-back. Uno checked his surroundings and tried to find any hard branches or rocks that he can throw. Uno used to practice Eskrima-Kali because of a curriculum in his school and he was great at it. Unfortunately, there are no branches but there are stones scattered around. Uno quickly picked up the stones and throw the stones into the [Grass Rat]. The [Grass Rat] tried to dodge but it is still being hit by the stones, provoked by the pain. It lunged into Uno and bites Uno's left hand. Uno grabbed a stone and pinned down the [Grass Rat] while it's gnawing his left hand. Uno brought all of his strength and smashed the stone into the [Grass Rat] head. "FUCKING RAT!! ARGHH!!!" Uno repeatedly did this action.

Uno heard a loud bone crack and the [Grass Rat] stopped gnawing his left hand.

"Still a long way to go for that Level 1, and that Village Mission...." Uno looks up and the Gigantic SUN is centered in the sky-high. "Based on that, I think it's still in the afternoon. I need to find the Village before I focused on my level because that skill book reward might help me boost myself"

Uno started walking towards the East of the Gigantic Sun. While Uno is walking. He is collecting any hard stones with an edge to be used as a throwing weapon.

The Grassland Wilderness's breeze was refreshing and there is a young man steadily walking.

About a 1-hour later, Uno still does not see any landmarks in the distance. Luckily, he managed to find a hard branch to use as a weapon. Uno tried to combine the branch and the stone using the grass as the rope but it's not stable. Hence, he thrashed the idea.

"Shit, I received a mission. Where the heck is this nest?" Uno carefully observed his surroundings for any indication of a rat nest. Uno walked for about 5 minutes and found a rat hole. There are about 3 [Grass Rats] outside of the rat hole. Uno is now deciding if he will try to complete this mission. The situation is risky and there might be terrible variables that might come into play.

Uno is still deciding for about 5 minutes and then one of the [Grass Rat], goes inside the rat hole and One [Grass Rat] left the area. In a sudden, there is only one [Grass Rat] guarding the hole. Due to this development, Uno decided to try to complete this mission. He waited 5 more minutes before attacking to make sure the [Grass Rat] that left the area will make some distance before noticing the ambush. When Uno felt the time is right to attack. He leaped and ran straight into the alone [Grass Rat] and swing the branch straight into its head. The [Grass Rat] fell down and Uno jumped on top of the [Grass Rat]. Uno let go of the branch, pinned down the rat and reach into his pocket to get one stone for each hand, and started pounding the rat's head. BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!... The [Grass Rat] squealed until...

ding!

[𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝟓 𝐄𝐗𝐏]

Uno stopped pounding the rat's face and quickly pocketed the stones. Uno grabbed the branch and waited outside the hole to prepare to greet the other [Grass Rat]. Then, there was noise coming from the rat nest. A [Grass Rat] comes out from the hole and it looked at the corpse of the dead [Grass Rat] and it stiffed. Uno took the chance and smacked the rat in the head and repeated the same process but when Uno is still in the process of smashing the head of the [Grass Rat]. One more [Grass Rat] comes out from the hole and when it noticed its kin being attacked. The [Grass Rat] rushed and bites Uno in the back. Uno shouted "ARGH!!!" and ignored the pain to finish the job. BANG!BANG!BANG!

Uno picked up the branch and smacked the [Grass Rat] but it did not hit its head. The [Grass Rat] flies into the distance and Uno throws one of the stones because he has to buy more time before the [Grass Rat] can posture itself. Uno urgently rushed to pin the [Grass Rat] and repeat the same process. BANG!BANG!BANG!BANG!...

Uno sat down right beside the dead [Grass Rat] and rested for a minute before preparing for the other [Grass Rat] that had left earlier. Uno hides himself in the grass and waited for it to come back. While Uno is waiting, a rustling sound comes from the hole and a [Grass Rat] emerged. It was two times bigger than the previous [Grass Rat].

"It's twice as strong as me, Can I even pin down that rat!?" Uno is now thinking about how he is going to kill the [Alpha Grass Rat]. The [Alpha Grass Rat] is shocked to see all of his kin dead and quickly get vigilant but then something latched to its back and chokes its neck. Uno tried to choke the [Alpha Grass Rat] but realized that he lost his bet. Uno was betting if the neck part will not be affected by the Endurance Stat but it seems that it's applied to all of the parts of the [Alpha Grass Rat].

The [Alpha Grass Rat] shook its body to shake off Uno from its back but Uno tighten his grip to stay on. The [Alpha Grass Rat] jumped its hind legs and Uno was thrown-forward. "Fucking HELL!!!" Uno tumbled forward and the Alpha Grass Rat suddenly lighten up in dimmed red and prepared to charge forward. Uno noticed the action and dive-in to the right side barely dodging the charge. The [Alpha Grass Rat] squeaked akin to making a statement before charging in. Uno in succession barely dodged the charges of the [Alpha Grass Rat] until he saw a huge boulder. By then, He got hit by the charge and almost lose his conscience but his fighting spirit soared.

"Fucking RAT!! ONE MORE FUCKING CHARGE AND I'LL SHOW WHO IS THE BOSS" Uno stands up due to adrenaline and rushed to a specific location and the [Alpha Grass Rat] pursues and charges in.

The [Alpha Grass Rat] squeaked while charging and jumped forward for additional force when it got closer to Uno. Then, the [Alpha Grass Rat] noticed the person flip backward using a huge boulder as the board. The [Alpha Grass Rat] head-butted the huge boulder and there was a loud bone crack. CRACKKK!!!!!!

Uno was rolled around by the force of the flip and saw the [Alpha Grass Rat] greets the huge boulder. Uno quickly checked the [Alpha Grass Rat] condition. The [Alpha Grass Rat] is still alive but it's in a grave condition. Uno said "It looked dazed as hell, I need to introduce it to lil bro" Uno took his stones out and starts... BANG!BANG!BANG!.....

Uno rested for a while before checking the corpse of the [Alpha Grass Rat]. "I hope there is something if I can pull a bone out as a weapon. Then, I can manage..." Uno tried to check if he can do anything useful but he does not have anything that can cut open the huge rat. All he did is to pile all of the corpses and wait for the last Grass Rat to appear.

"Can't Freaking BELIEVE IT!!" Uno suddenly thought "30 more EXP to go and I'm level 1..." Uno continued to travel east to find the village.

About 2 hours later and the sun is starting to set. Uno walked and fought 5 more Grass Rats on his way east. He gained [25 EXP] and needs 5 EXP to level up.

Rustle...Rustle...

Uno heard the noise and searched where it was coming from. Uno discovered the culprit and chased it. This [Grass Rat] immediately ran away after being discovered. Uno was shocked because this is the only rat that ran away from all the Grass Rats. Uno focused and chased down the Grass Rat "My [5 EXP], don't run please come here. I'll treat your right"

Uno cannot catch up because the Agility Stat of the [Grass Rat] is much higher. Uno got an idea. "This is really a rat. HUH!" Uno activated his [Urge] skill and grabbed a stone to throw. Uno gave his all and release the stone.

The stone hits the head of the [Grass Rat] and it fell down. "HEAD SHOOOOT!!!"

Then, Uno looked into the distance and saw a silhouette of thatched houses inside a wooden wall. "Is that the Village?".
