Act I: The Inclusion's Gleam, My Eyes Seem.

"Sarah..."

"No! Let go of me!"

I plead as my vision fades into pitch darkness.

I woke up and looked in the mirror, seeing my eyes glow a shade of Amber, with a permanent Amber-colored eyeline. I was dumbfounded by my eye-recoloration but chose to ignore it for the time being. I got ready for school and kept my unnatural features hidden with contact lenses. After eating leftovers from yesterday, I set off for school.

Arriving at my school, I tried my best to cover up my eyes, although catching the attention of another girl named Sydney, A beautiful girl who stood atop the class, and currently considered the de facto leader of the class.

Sydney noticed my distinct change in eye color, although kept to herself and wished to confirm if what she saw was true.

I didn't realize Sydney was already onto my guise and from there, I continued to my classroom. In the classroom, I scanned the room for a bit, then I set my bag aside and sat down. I took out my textbook, pen, and notebook. The teacher arrived, and the students welcomed her.

"Good morning, Lana-sensei!"

The students diligently did their activities, save for the delinquent groups in the back.

After class ended, I immediately packed my things and went to the school gate.

"Huh?! What the-"

I yelped as I tripped on a suspicious rock and tumbled to the ground, my lenses launching themselves out of my eyes. I desperately tried to cover my eyes but was stopped by Sydney, my classmate. Sydney however pried my hands open, revealing the unnatural shade they were in, surprising her.

"Hm, so I was right, your eyes are unusually colored, you even have that special eyeline." As she towers over me, spreading delinquent vibes everywhere.

"Y-you don't think I'm weird?" I responded.

"Hmm, I guess not. You're still mostly human, anyways."

"Then… can you keep my eyes a secret?" I silently plead to her, my Amber colored eyes shining bright into her eyes.

"I don't see why not."

"T-thank you for helping me keep a secret, but why did you set me up there?" I ask, genuinely confused and concerned.

Sydney let out a small giggle...

"I just figured I'd indulge myself as to why your eyes changed color with those lenses, I guess?"
