Chapter 6: Approaching Little Uncle

"Baby what's wrong? Are you two arguing?"

When Mrs. Solis heard the movement, she quickly ran up to see the situation. Amanda gently closed her eyes to adjust her emotions, not wanting her mother to see her dark side.

"It's okay, where is brother, mom?"

Mrs. Solis looked a little suspiciously at her daughter's face, but she did not ask her any further questions.

"Your brother just went out. Why are you looking for him?"

Amanda pulled the corners of her stiff lips and shook her head slightly.

"I was just asking. It's already late. I'll go back to my room first. Mom, you should rest too."

"Okay, go away quickly, don't pay attention to me."

Before leaving, Amanda gave her a hug. When she returned to her room, her face immediately became gloomy.

As she was heading to her room, she pulled out her phone, dialing a number, and then pressed the call button. After a few rings, someone answered the phone.

"Follow someone to investigate. Money is up to you at that time.

I just need all of his information."

The other end of the line was silent for a moment and then she heard the other person's voice.

"Ok, give me a week."

"Okay."

Amanda hung up the phone, her mental tension was too much, causing her to sit down on the bed a little tired.

She originally thought she would be able to stay calm when facing Javier Harris, but the truth was that it was not that easy.

But now is not the time for her to turn against Javier, she wants him to pay a price a hundred thousand times higher.

The phone suddenly lit up, attracting Amanda's attention. When she saw it, it was Quentin Harris accepting her friend request.

Her eyes suddenly flashed, she texted him a message.

"Can I come visit grandpa tomorrow?"

Quentin answered very quickly with only one word "yes", the corner of Amanda's lips curled slightly.

Isn't Javier the most greedy for the inheritance rights of the Harris family? Then we have to see if she can succeed in this life.

The next day, Amanda got up early to prepare some gifts and drove straight to the Harris family. As soon as she arrived at the door, she saw the smiling butler Wayne waiting for her.

"Butler Wayne, are you still well?"

She curled her lips and smiled as she walked over to greet him politely. Butler Wayne also seemed to watch her grow up, so he unceremoniously reached out and patted her head.

"I'm fine, please go inside. They have been waiting for a long time."

Amanda nodded and gave the gift to the worker next to him, then slowly followed butler Wayne's steps towards the fishing lake behind the villa.

There was already an old man with gray hair leisurely holding a fishing rod.

Amanda walked over and called out sweetly.

"Grandpa."

Mr. Harris turned around and waved at her kindly.

"Come here, good child."

Amanda walked over and obediently sat down next to him. Mr. Harris gave her another fishing rod. Amanda took it skillfully and hooked the bait.

"Why did you come alone? Where is Javier?"

Mr. Harris asked, Amanda replied humorously:

"I miss you, grandpa." Are you not happy when I come alone to see you grandpa?"

Mr. Harris laughed and reached out to pat her head.

"Long time no see, your little mouth is getting sweeter and sweeter."

"What are you two talking about so happily? The rice and soup served is already cold."

Amanda turned around in surprise to look at Quentin who was leisurely approaching. She thought he had promised to come and visit, so he would return at the end of work. How could he be here in the middle of the afternoon?

Quentin walked closer to the two of them about three steps and then did not step forward. He looked down at Amanda's wide-open eyes and smiled softly.

"We just met yesterday, but now it's so strange that it's surprising?"

Amanda knew her expression was out of control, she was a little embarrassed and looked away.

"You're just joking."

When Mr. Harris saw that his son was coming. He smiled brightly, leaned on his cane and stood up, saying:

"Let's go in and eat, little Mandy, there's a fish dish you will like today."

Amanda also quickly stood up and walked over to support him as he walked. Quentin, on the other hand, was left behind and slowly followed the two.

Mr. Harris has three children, two boys and a girl.

His eldest son is also Javier's father. Dylan Harris devoted himself to studying, so he did not care about the family's fortune.

The second daughter got married and immediately settled abroad, and Quentin Harris was the youngest child and the person that Mr. Harris trusted the most.

At the dinner table there were only the three of them, Mr. Harris and Amanda were still talking

"Are you very busy these days, Mandy?"

"It's okay, what's wrong?"

Amanda slightly lowered her chopsticks and looked at Mr. Harris, only to see him smiling and turning the table, immediately picked up a piece of braised pork and put it in the bowl.

"Next week is my birthday. I'm afraid you'll be busy, so I wanted to ask before then."

Amanda suddenly felt a little guilty and looked at him.

"Grandpa, even if I'm busy, I'll definitely come."

After her rebirth, she suddenly forgot this matter. In her previous life, it was also during the birthday of Mr. Harris, she and Javier agreed to marry each other.

"That's good, that's good."

Mr. Harris smiled widely and said "good" a few times.

Amanda smiled silently, sighed and bowed her head to continue eating. Just then, her favorite fish sauce dish was in front of her. Amanda immediately reached out with her chopsticks to pick up a large piece of meat.

Mr. Harris had just finished the delicious piece of pork belly in the bowl. He wanted to reach out to pick up more but discovered that the table's position had changed.

He frowned and glanced at his son, who had been silent from the beginning until now, who was enthusiastically turning the table. He looked down at the stir-fried beef dish in front of him, then continued to frown, looking at the plate of stir-fried vegetables in front of Quentin. Mr. Harris's eyebrows frowned even more tightly to the point where he could pinch a fly to death.

"Do you like eating vegetables?"

In the end, he still couldn't help but ask.

Quentin with a calm face, nodded, picking up a chopstick of vegetables and putting it in his mouth.

"I'm learning to eat frugally these days."

"Hmm, if you want to be frugal, go ahead and carry a plate of vegetables and eat alone."

Mr. Harris was dissatisfied and coldly snorted and reached out to turn the braised pork dish towards him. Quentin was not weak and relied on his long arm to turn the table back around.

It made Mr. Harris so angry that his mustache stood up.

" Where are you? Please put away this plate of braised meat for me!"

Mr. Harris rolled his eyes and refused to give up, roaring in dissatisfaction:

"Who dares!"

Amanda was a bit bewildered, but seeing that the plate of fish was still in front of her, she happily picked up a few more chopsticks and put them in her mouth.

"Cough cough..."

As a result, a fish bone stuck in his throat, Amanda with tears in her eyes, faced two pairs of eyes looking at her with an expression unable to speak.

Quentin stopped fighting with his father, immediately stood up and walked to Amanda to give orders.

"Open your mouth."

Although Amanda pursed her lips, she was embarrassed to death, but still accepted the command and opened her mouth. Quentin looked at the situation and fed her some white rice.

"Little bones, eat some rice. It will be fine."

Amanda closed her eyes and tried to swallow the rice in her mouth until she almost choked to death, but luckily the bone also disappeared.

Quentin looked at the tears in her eyes and couldn't help but let out a breath. He reached out and patted her head.

This one pat also kept Amanda quiet until the end of the afternoon. Quentin took her out to the car, he stood next to the car door, smiling at her.

"Will you come over next time?"

Amanda quickly hid her embarrassment and smiled sweetly at him, replying:

"Sure, it's fun to play with you and grandpa."

He raised his eyebrows in surprise and said:

"Am I very old? After all, your brother and I are friends. You always call me uncle."

Amanda blinked her eyes and looked at him honestly.

"I'm used to calling you that."

In her two lifetimes combined, she had never dared to be rude to him. The word she called out was very respectful.

Quentin Harris sighed in his heart. As expected, teaching children must be taught from a young age.
