I fell back to sleep with Dusk in my arms. Its warmth gave me comfort from this darkness.
It was the very first time I woke up in the morning not having any dreams since reincarnating in this body. I hope this day would repeat.
Dusk was still sleeping so soundly when I get up. Its just been a week but the munchkin was surely comfortable here. I let the little munchkin to sleep some more.
I checked my parents' room, I heard my father's snore. It is still early so they are still sleeping. I guess, I'll have to surprise them.
I went to the kitchen, first thing in the morning. I boiled some eggs and heat up some milk. I get a loaf of bread and put it in a big plate. If it wasn't so dangerous for this body to make something more complicated, I would have done a more impressive work.
My mom woke up and was taken a back when she saw me making a meal.
"You're early, why?" She said while wearing her apron.
"make breakfast." I said while peeling the egg.
My mother heated the leftover meats last night. I made a sauce for it, just some tomato ketchup, bit of soy sauce, sugar, and a teaspoon of oil. It will be a good pair for the meat that's more crunchy from reheating.
I ask my mom to chop some onion and onion leaves for the egg. I mash the eggs then I added mayo and the chopped onions. I added some salt and pepper for taste. Top it off with the onion leaves for some color.
As if directed, my father came in the right time. He came right in, when the table was prepared. He is carrying Dusk in his left arm while playing with it's cheeks with his right hand.
"Pa! Not toy!" I said when I saw Dusk face so done with my father.
My father just laugh and put him in the table and we started to eat.
I dip some meat with the sauce I made and gobble it down. The sauce was sweet and savory while the meat has some crunch to it. I spread some the egg and mayo I made in the bread. It was so heavenly. The egg is melting in my mouth. The sweetness of fresh onions compliments it as if it was made for each other.
I brought out the chili powder I've prepared. I added that to the meat and it was just *mwah* chef's kiss. I took a sip from the milk to wash away the spiciness that this body can't handle. That only leaves the tingly feels from the spice.
Thanks to the past otherworlder that brought all this food in this world. They even named it the same. Thank you all, as an act of gratitude I gobbled everything down to the last bit.
Yes, you read it right I'm not the only otherworlder here. There were people that were summoned, and some are reincarnated. I'm neither of them. I thought I was just dreaming at first but I died, that just means it's not a dream.
The God of life and death is the only god here. Everyone's destiny was up to the people's decision. But I am like a God here, or more like demigod? Whatever. God of creation to be precise. Well, that's what god of life and death told me. I'm this worlds creator but it wasn't this detailed in my story, so everything here are product of my creation's choices.
There are just selected few that can't make decisions. They were my characters, who I directed to do everything I want base on my mood in Earth. I felt sorry for them so I tried to straighten those up and save them from death and demise but that just caused more deaths than what there should be.
I was reincarnated to live lives with unfortunate deaths to atone for those lives that wasn't supposed to end.
I was thankful for the God of life and death for keeping my sanity. I thought I was just numb and unaffectionate from all the things I've gone through.
But it was actually because I was not able to feel emotional pain. I am a sensitive person, of course I know that I would have break a long time ago if they didn't do that.
I still have nightmares from my first life and sometimes because of my other lives but I know I deserve it. I don't deserve oblivion and forget what I've done to so many lives. Maybe it's guilt for my characters, or maybe guilt for the death of innocent ones.
Now, in this life, just as I've promise to the God. I will live and find my characters. I've found three of them. Actually I didn't even have to look for them but they came to me.
The main character is now my father, and the female lead is my mother. They look older and happier but I'm sure that's them. That's why I want to protect them more. I know I'm to blame for their past's misery but now I'll definitely make them happy.
The third one you ask? That's the little one. Dusk was sunshine, the supposed to be dog of the princess' maid and right hand, which was the past me. Dusk reincarnated as a monster but he's still sunshine. Thinking about it, isn't his name so contadicting haha.
"Al... Almus!" I was brought back to present when I heard my mother's voice. They were all looking at me with worried eyes.
"You okay?" My dad ask.
"I'm little sweepy." I was in daze and lost in thought, maybe because I felt full.
"That's because you woke up so early. Thanks for the meal Al." My mom said.
"That's right, both of you made the meal so early in the morning so I'll handle the clean up. Leave it to us, right Dusk?" Father said. Dusk also nodded, I don't know if he really understands father.
Father handled the clean up and washing the dishes. Dusk was just there observing him do the work as if a supervisor.
I washed myself and prepared for another practice today.
"Ma, Pa, I'm off!" I said as I get Dusk from the table.
"Take care, and bring these." My mom packed a lunch and gave it to me.
"Wait a minute! Let's leave together!" My father shouted from their room. He rushed down from the stairs while fixing his clothes.
"You should have left the dishes to me. If you have, you wouldn't need to rush." My mother said as she give his packed lunch.
"No lectures, just give me a kiss." Father said and mother did so.
"Let's go!" My father said as he lift me up in his arm.
He drop me in the field where kids play, and rush to the gates. He was looking back to me from time to time as if checking if I'm with my friends.
I talk to couple of kids. I wasn't an outcast but I also don't have a set of friends. Everyone just talks to me when I'm there so I always sneak out the field. I don't like the attention.
Starting today, I'll also practice speaking. The words lately are not as unrecognizable as before. I sometimes squeeze the sentence short to avoid twisting my tongue. But still I want to straighten it out.
I sneak out to the woods when father was out of sight. No one saw Dusk because I put him in the bag. I could have put him in my dimension home but I'm keeping my magic knowledge a secret fron everyone, even my parents. It's to not attract any unwanted attention.
At night, we're in the yards after we ate supper. There's a mat where I, Dusk, and father lay. My mother was sitting while peeling some fruits for us.
"Here have some." She said as she feed me a slice. I open my mouth and eat it.
"Al, you'll be four soon." Father started. I nodded and listen to them.
"I know you've read all the books in the library." Mom added.
"You know?" I asked.
"Of course, it's weeks ago right? You stopped coming in the library though you always come without fail. Mr. Legere told me days ago when he picked up some books in the gate. He told me to tell you to come check the new ones." Father said.
"We know you've thought yourself for so long. You thought yourself to read and write, you even know taming magic now. I know you have affinity in magic. I'm a mage remember?" Mom
"So how about a tutoring for you?" Dad
"Weally?!" Today's tounge practice didn't show any results because I was amused. They knew all that though I haven't said anything. And they want to hire a tutor for me? But that would cost a lot.
"We ave gold?" I blurted out my thoughts. My parents just smiled at me and continued.
"For real! You know the Lord's daughter, right?" Dad asked.
I nodded in response.
"The Lord ask me to be his daughter's guard when she get back. And when I say I have a child who's so talented in young age. He said I could bring you when the young lady returned in taking tutoring class." Father added.
"Don't worry, the Lord and the young lady are nice. We used to be the Lord's comrades when we're still hunters so we know them." Mother added to assure me.
"So?..." My parents are so considerate of me. If it would be other parents, I know they wouldn't let a 3 year old child decide.
I nodded again. "I'll dwo it!" I said enthusiastically. They both cheered up from my answer.
I guess my daily routine in living with them will take a new turn. Maybe this will help me get stronger too.
I look at the sky and saw lots of shooting stars.
"Let's make a wish!" My father said.
" I wish for Al and Dusk to grow healthy." My father whispered.
"I wish for my boys' success and healthy future." Mom prayed.
"I wish for everyone's happiness." I sincerely wish.
