✾⚘The Storm Is Over ⚘✾

My followers were gradually 𝑡𝑜𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝒉𝑒 𝑏𝑎𝑟𝑠. I was so excited!

A whole bunch of strangers rated my artworks and advised me to take  steps further by creating a page and a YouTube channel.

A picture was trending online of Perry and Puppy. A photoshoot with both of them half nude. Well, Perry had pink shorts on and he struck a find model pose, next to his 𝑓𝑙𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 girlfriend who wore her usual skimpy dress of pink.

The picture was neat and attractive.

It made so many people say a lot about their relationship and unbreakable bond as they had been dating for ages. 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬?!

The picture was trending. So were a bunch of pictures of them. And I knew that a tactical way to get attention or more followers was to tap into anything that was trending. So I replicated the photo with few pencils. The drawing was incredible and consummately flawless!

𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?

𝐓𝐚𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝!

As soon as I uploaded it on my page, a whole lot of people loved it and made cool comments on my talent. Even on Instagram. I had tagged Perry and Puppy to the post but they didn't respond. (●´⌓'●)

Anyways, I was greatly impressed by how much turn-ups I gained on that one photo. All I had to do was to be creative. (^_^)〜☆

I did so many other drawings and I realized that I had more engagements on my posts each time they had to do with nudity or lewd contents.

I started to draw more of Puppy because she was becoming increasingly popular by the second and everyone loved her. And Puppy could wear such thing as a bikini to a supermarket. #𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞.◤◡ᴥ◡◥

People got tired of me drawing the same person all the time even though they loved her. And so I leaped further by making crazy paintings, more on unimportant or nude characters and unethical stuff. It was what the audience craved for and I just had to give it to them. ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌

Combining persistency, knowledge about the various social media platforms and hard work, my followers increased so much in just a month. But not as much as I yearned. ( ⇀ ‸ ↼ )

I spent my Saturday learning to do an appealing makeover for an impeccable picture. The previous Saturday, I applied few treatments to my hair to soften it and improve its curliness. They were pretty much expensive but I didn't mind. I spent some of the allowance meant for a school project on my hair materials.

The Saturday before, I had Aisha get me some equipments for TikTok since I had used up all of my money and my parents would in no way be a part of something that "irrelevant."

I wanted my videos to be so ideal that they'd soar the internet briskly and leave viewers entranced, therefore I was passionate and determined about the whole thing.

I got a ring light, a selfie ring light, a colourful ring light, a string light—all manner of lights! The lighting had to be perf for a professional video.

I got a microphone, a neat phone tripod, professional art tools—some of which I used in designing the background of my studio all by myself; a cute black phone case for my phone coupled with a phone lens attachment then an extra camera.

Additionally, I got new clothes outside my conventional 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑-𝑘𝑖𝑑-𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑦-𝒉𝑜𝑚𝑒-𝑤𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠 from my savings.

There was absolutely no way I could make an expert video without wearing the right outfits.

I got so many costly outfits making sure all were trending and stylish; jackets, more of a leather bomber jacket and a denim which were my favourites then furry crop jackets; tennis skirts of different colours and designs, mostly stripes and polka dots;  socks, ankle socks and long ones too; all manner of shorts; shoes of all sorts, sneakers and boots; hats, rings, and glimmering, fine and dandy jewelries which I had purchased from online.

𝐄𝐱𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞!

Then every Saturday, I spent a lot of time at the gym with my friends. My aim was to keep fit and attain some abs like the girls I spotted on Instagram and Twitter.

Remi also wanted to grow some abs and physical strength. 𝐋𝐨𝐥.

And Aisha? Her body was already naturally perfect, too perfect. She only wanted to keep fit.

Every vigour I put into my weekend activities was to help me make the hottest videos and pictures, hence build my social media profile as a content creator, a video creator; an artist.

I tried getting Aisha to do TikTok with me, to rehearse some moves and make the coolest 𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑠 but she refused. 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬!(╯°益°)╯彡┻━┻

We were at her place and all she was interested in was getting I and Remi to help her with her YouTube channel. She had hit 4,321 subscribers.

Subsequently, it dawned on me that I needed to ameliorate my social life.

It was becoming all about social media.

My friends in school had a lot of followers and it made them feel so good about themselves, so important.

They constantly bragged about their social media status. It made them want to make posts about everything and just in fact, enter their phones with how glued they were!

It was said that "your life only matters when you're somebody in the virtual society."

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬: 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐦 𝐈?

I sat over the question of who exactly I was and how I could add value to people's screen; how I could matter too, how I could be approved by people from all around the world.

I had seen Aisha's workplace; it was renovated by her father. Her siblings also provided all the assistance she needed to make one content that would eventually be viewed by thousands.

They were rich hence they were capable of purchasing even the sky.

But when I asked her to help set my own workplace, she turned me down saying, "I'm busy, you need to understand that. I already got you everything you wanted, now do this one thing yourself. I honestly would help you if I wasn't so occupied. I also have an interview with this white lady who works with my Mom. She's a content creator and one capture of me on her show would take me places."

At that point, I felt intimidated and envious and downcast.

The pressure on me was too much; the pressure to have something good going on for me too, the pressure to be somebody, the pressure to be successful. It was in the virtual world, now in the real world too.

I grabbed my blue, transparent cross-cover material. It was a trending new apparel created by a girl on TikTok. It was a piece of clothing made as a strap, used to cover the boosies alone. ◤¬ ˒̫̮ ¬◥

It was worn from across a shoulder to the waist of the opposite side, like an actual strap, then hooked on the waist provided by a fancy, glittery pin of different designs which then leads back to the strap over a shoulder. This allowed half the lady lumps to be shielded.

The other part of the strap was worn across the other shoulder then hooked on the opposite side, the waist, with a pin that was connected to the start of the strap worn over the shoulder. Therefore, it looked like an 'X.'

Lots of people modified the product until there were different designs available and it became popular. 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫.

There came lots of cool designs and colours and materials used to create the cross-cover clothing.

I sat on a mat with my legs crossed over each other, facing the camera. My hair was packed in two.

I turned off the casual lightbulbs and turned on the fluorescent ultraviolet lights. I activated my playlist and a fine tune played slowly.

I picked up my paintbrush, sopped it in paint and began to paint my body to look like a giant human flower. I sprinkled lots of glitter on myself, on the butterflies drawn on both sides of my cheeks. I drew a fish over my lips and a river from across the philtrum part to the side of my ears. My nose was portrayed as a little mountain.

The lights made my work's visibility turn even more colorful and spiffing!

The music, background, fluorescent ultraviolet light, and video effect made me seem like some art angel. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐢𝐭! 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥!

I named the content, "Art Angel."

In few hours, this one content surpassed engagement in hundreds; it moved in thousands. People were so pleased with my work that they just couldn't stop sharing.

I was completely astounded!

So I was encouraged to do more! ( ͡° ͜  ͡°)

I wore a white tube over a white transparent scarflike material which I simply tied around my waist not minding that my underwear could be visible, and golden heels.

I took out a black case which was designed with paintings of flowers. I layed it gently and ceremonially on a table then gently pulled out my master paint brush. It layed flat on my palms.

I walked up to a plain wall, stood before it. I used the tip of the paint brush to touch the wall and by editing, a hole appeared in the wall. It got wider and wider until it was big enough for me to enter. I entered the wall and started to paint all around me with agility as the background music of violin which was initially solemn turned rhythmically fast. ♬

When I was done, I got out of the wall and it was shut. I turned to the camera and when I looked back at the wall, there were huge wings of different colours hanging there.

As the violin tune instantaneously turned solemn once again, I pranced on my heels to the wall and posed in between both wings.

I did the majority of my videos without Remi's knowledge for I knew he'd disapprove of certain things I did, especially the things I wore in a bid to reveal my body. To please my fans, it was worth it.

My followers increased.

I spent a lot of time dressing up for TikTok and rehearsing moves or trending lines. Oftentimes they were twerking videos, other times videos of me painting nude characters from my imaginations.

My followers doubled.

I worked on my body so much that it made me realize that it wasn't so bad afterall, it just needed some fitness.

My boosies enlarged; couldn't tell if it eventuated from puberty of my work out. It felt good anyway. And the large fleshy halves of the posterior part of my body between the base of the back, had enlarged.   :)

The sudden change in my appearance plus my stripperish moves made a whole lot of people commend my curves. And it was no ordinary commendation.

The comments and validation made me feel better about myself. It made me feel... Pretty. ❉ *.¸¸.*✳

"Is working out this much making you look like...?" Remi had said but he retained the rest of his statement.

"Like what, Remi Wilson?"

"I don't know, girl. I think puberty is messing with you too. Just don't turn a gym freak, okay?"

"Meh meh meh—"

"Is how you sound."

I had changed a lot but it wasn't that much of a change. It was just who I was on the inside that had been suppressed by the right company and by unexposure the whole time.

In the virtual world, I was "Teimee Thee Art Angel,"—the best content/video creator you'd ever find.

In the real world, my introverted nature was more visible.

I was the 𝑐𝒉𝑢𝑟𝑐𝒉𝑦 girl my parents wanted me to be and one of the brightest students in my class.

And so it was.

I heard the car pull over and I raced down the stairs.

Amara got down from the car with some lady by her side. 𝐌𝐚𝐧, 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚!

And Amanda?

I bet she felt the heat of the fire I was throwing at her.

A lot of people compared her with me and I could tell that it got to her.

She wasn't as ostentatious about her looks and money as she used to be. I overtook her and proved to her that just anyone could outrun anyone in the social media business.

My followers were reached five thousand, almost reaching hers. I no longer was sad and pessimistic, therefore, I identified my potentials and used it with knowledge.

I knew that if I continued that way in few months, my followers would increase the more and I would become influential and greatly relevant, even in the real world. 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠.

But then, I needed to come up with more ideas.

"Amara! You look so stunning!" I threw my arms around her. 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡. 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞.

"It's good to finally meet you in person, Temi. You look even fresher than you are in your pictures." 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮.

"Really? Thank you." I smiled. "Is a parent in the car?" I whispered to her.

"Oh, no. That's just my driver."

The girl next to her faked a cough and Amara said, "Gosh, where are my manners? Temi, meet my friend, Precious. Precious, this is Temi, the girl I've been telling you about. You see her contents online, don't you?"

"Oh, yes! Yes! Wow, I'm so pleased to meet you! You are amazingly talented! You are going places, I'm very sure of it." 𝐀𝐰𝐰𝐰.(◍•ᴗ•◍)

"Thank you, so much. So, what are we waiting for? Let's all go in."

We entered the house and I served some , fries and chicken which I had prepared for her arrival.

"I don't think I can take in more food. I had a lot to eat during the outing with my parents."

Beforehand, she made a post online stating that she was moving to Lagos with her parents for a business trip and she posted a series of pictures of the luxurious places they visited on their way and she took pictures of the lip-smacking delicacies which they had. Though I rarely saw her in the pictures.

"Oh, that's okay. Precious, there's room for more food huh?"

"Yes. Me I no 𝑑𝑒𝑦 form."

They made glances and communicated through their demeanor. I couldn't tell what they were saying but I was keen on knowing why they had been giving each other some strange attitude ever since they arrived. I just didn't want to stick my nose where I wasn't called.

"You seem so cool and reserved. The online you seems rather wild and like a bad b**ch."

"I am not a bad b**ch. I am just a content creator. So, how long are you guys staying?"

"Four months, I guess. But, in the meantime, my Mom wants us to attend school here. I'd love to attend your school. How much is your school fee for a term?"

"Two million naira."

"Such whooping sum?" Precious threw her mouth opened.

"Precious, don't be so classless. That's no huge amount of money. Stillwaters is a great school. I'm pretty sure my parents can afford it."

Again, Precious moved in discomfort.

I couldn't understand both of them.

"But you wouldn't need to play close to that since you're not staying long."

"I might. I came here with my brother."

"You have a brother?"

"Yes—James. He begged to come along but I really don't want him to come embarrass me."

"Indeed."

"I wish I had a brother to embarrass me. I live in this massive house with my parents alone and there's barely anyone to keep me company, except for my friends, Remi and Aisha. Remi would be here any moment from now, he always loves to be here. He'll be happy to meet you."

"The cute light-skinned boy you post all the time?"

"Yes?"

"He is super cute! I almost thought he was your boyfriend."

"Don't go there. Don't go there at all." I was quick to shun her. "He's like a brother to me."

"Oh, I understand. And aside that, Ollie Ollie," she winked. ン

"Your house is crazy big and wonderful. If I lived in such house, I'd be doing TikTok every four to five minutes..." She paused and continued, "not that I don't live in a big house."

"We could shoot a video together right now."

"I am so in!"

We did TikTok for about two hours and I worked on the editing. I was so glad that Amara knew how to dance and she was creative too.

She insisted that Precious didn't join us because "she isn't fit for these kind of things."

Precious ignored her. She was rather bent on checking out some of my paintings. So when TikTok time was over, we went to the hallway that led to my parents room and I showed them the paintings on the wall.

Amara filmed every bit of it with Precious' phone.

Shortly, she had to use the bathroom.

After a while, I went down the stairs, to the living room, only to find Amara throwing some left over fries and chicken into her mouth like a hungry beast. 𝐍𝐨 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞. (-_-)
