A strange new place.

Mark's eyes slowly opened, and he immediately squinted them for the sun was out and bright, he was on his back and he turned to the side, trying to get his face away from the glare.

His face was contorted in discomfort and suddenly, his mouth swole holding in its contents that were once in his stomach. He got on all fours, with his back arched.

'Oh oh.'

"Blarghhh!" he puked strongly on the grass beneath him.

"Ohhh… fuck." He said softly, his voice hinting at weakness.

"Huh?" His eyes instinctively blinked multiple times trying to make sense of where he was.

He turned to his left and he could see nothing but the desolate flat land of greenery as far as he could see.

"I was in bed just a moment ago." He muttered, his brows knitted in a frown out of confusion and shock.

He stood up, however with a bit of struggle and he staggered forward a few steps before he found his footing.

He slowly turned his head back and forth, trying to make sense of the picturesque landscape he stood in.

"Does Tom think drugging me and moving me to a forest or grassland or whatever this place is, is funny?!" He blasted, strength coming back to him.

"Oh God, If I ever find that fucker, I'm going to fuck him up."

His left hand went down but it rubbed past his boxers.

'Huh?' His eyes opened wide in surprise.

"I did go to sleep in just my boxers." He said and sighed, fighting against the urge to lay on the grass once more.

He had nothing on him aside from his boxers which unknown to him was his only earthly possession currently.

"But how? He isn't that smart to pull off this elaborate prank neither is he as daring, and frankly this is stupid."

"Tom! I know you're out there somewhere!" He cupped his hands around his mouth shouting across the field. No response came.

'Okay, this isn't funny anymore. I have things to do.' Beads of sweat began to ooze off his face, and a premonition that this wasn't a prank carried by his mischievous best friend lingered in his mind.

He backstepped, confused. He held his hands on his head and his mouth went wide releasing a scream.

"Aghhh."

He then lost his balance and fell to the ground, his ears rang and his head felt like it had been bashed in, and he vomited again.

'Mother of God, what did I eat?'

He cleaned his mouth with the back of his hand and stood back up.

Then something happened, or rather existed.

'What's this?' he froze with his hands held up above his head.

'Hmmm…' the thing hovered there in front of him like it was paused in time.

"Hmmm." He loosened himself and moved closer to it, the tab of transparent blue hung in the air by his torso unmoving.

"Looks like a hologram… hmmm?" He turned around it, his eyes still glued on it.

"Fuck this," He blurted in frustration.

"I'm lost in a place God knows what, and this thing just appeared thinking it can get my attention, what am I? A baby?"

He was visibly annoyed, the veins of his forehead visible and straining against his skin.

Then it happened, while his face was away and he wasn't looking.

The hologram tab curved and broke into minute bits and zoomed at instant speed into the back of Mark, phasing into his flesh.

"What the…?" His back spasmed causing him to arch forward as he received the strange thing.

His brown eyes shone with blue light, his short brown hair rose like a wind blower blew it from beneath.

His body felt out of his control and in that moment, he looked like an apparition getting exorcised–a ghoul that had met its fate under the overwhelming might of the sun.

Then the spasm stopped and the glow died, his body was his again and it seemed like what had happened didn't.

He immediately brought out his hands to his eyes and he glared at them. For what reason? He wasn't sure himself.

"What the hell was that?"

As soon as he uttered those unrefined earthly words, the ground beneath his bare feet trembled and his eyes turned to the right where he suspected that it emanated from.

A thousand meters away from Mark ran large orcs of various colors ranging from green to pink. They had nothing but a piece of white cloth that went over their beneath with a rope that was tied around their waist.

Their faces were very pronounced and unfriendly with large fangs jutting from the sides of their mouth, crowning their savagery.

The ground beat to their feet and there were over two hundred of them, all of which ran excitedly in pursuit of a brown and white cow that had the tallest hunch that Mark had ever seen. No kidding, the cow which in itself ran at a height of around seven feet had a towering fat hunch three times taller, it was a miracle that it didn't trip over as it ran.

Mark on the other hand had no insight on how to process the thing that happened in front of him, it was like he was a toddler given a video game console.

His mind was blank and he could only look, until they were just a hundred meters away from him.

"Holy shit!"
