Earth A2
"Brother Not Wearing Pants, you are a king too?"
"Hells! I can't even be a reporter in the virtual world because of those damned players. And can't you see this damned shining letters?"
Infinity didn't have the Sci-fi technology that slowed time down. There was no time difference. It was an hour in Infinity to a hour in reality. It was currently afternoon but this place was a little bit dark. It was a cave and everywhere was filled with the shining letters of 'King'. This was a conference for only Kings!
Kings were mercilessly hunted by players and they became like slaves. There were ways to remove the evil status after killing players. Donating a large sum of money to the church would immediately grant you a good status. That was if you haven't killed too many.
Kings had to surrender to become underlings to players or die. They couldn't control their fate. Players had the Confederation's support and since they were granted a +5 bonus, they were far stronger than Kings.
In Infinity, you would get six stat points after levelling up. The basic stats were strength, stamina, agility, mana and vitality. Every stat had to be increased one by one except mana and vitality which increased by 5 points and 10points each.
Not Wearing Pants was a famous gamer but he had chosen to be a King during a moment of ambition.
A handsome young man wearing Daoist clothes walked to the stage. His hair was tied in a ponytail.
"Everyone, quiet down. I'm Sage of the Future. I am one pf the main hosts of this conference."
A rude voice shouted from the millions of kings. "Are you the Wise Sage 's son? How's your sugar mommy?"
The place fell silent for a moment as people began to laugh. There were loud whoops and chattering.
As expected of the Wise Sage's son, he didn't get embarrassed or say he didn't have one, he yelled loudly. "My sugar mommy is a Player. She killed me yesterday."
Everyone fell silent and they had grave expressions on their faces.
Sage of the Future was satisfied with his intelligence. "We have been oppressed too badly by these players. Let's form an alliance. Though they are stronger, have you guys found out that we don't have penalties when dying? We only have to be inactive for three hours. That's not even a penalty. We have our own advantage. Innumerable deaths!"
"We can't continue living like this. I say we leap out of that fucking chessboard and become Kings who lord over players." Sage of the Future was filled with passion by his own speech.
All other Kings were emboldened and began to shout. 'Lord over Players! Lord over Players! Lord over Players!"
Sage of the Future became more inspired as the cheers began. "How do we do this? Assassins to kill them! Let's back them up. All other classes should harass players. Steal their kills, injure them till they have only one point of vitality left."
"Rob them. Swarm them. Take over their dungeons. Free our fellow Kings. Kill them and make them Kings!". As long as we make an alliance. Just for this month, we can do anything. We are Kings!"
Everyone began to cheer and they were ready to torture players. Then they were shocked!
-Ding! Realm Announcement. King Sage of the Future and approximately two million other Kings have triggered an event. The King's rebellion.
All Players are bosses who drop tons of gold and equipment. Kill a player and all his possessions would be taken. You can party up and gain Exp.
-Ding! The Ranking of Kings has been created. The more players you kill, the higher the rank. Kings of the first ten ranks will be able to inherit the wealth they gained as a king when they become a player. First rank gains 100%, Second rank gains 200% and so on.
-Ding! King Sage of the Future has hereby been appointed the Leader of Kings. Hail the Kings!
Though Sage of the Future was stunned and muttered, "I was really turned to an NPC?", everyone, including Kings, Players and the Confederation, instinctively knew that the earth of the realm of Four Skies was about to be fertilized with blood!
A quiet morning, Jace opened his eyes slowly. His eyes became more purplish and his skin became smoother. His appearance had changed drastically. Now, he could be called a little bit handsome even by the toughest standards!
He stood up and an air of nobility from God-knows-where was continuously emitted out of him. But it was gone almost immediately as a lazy grin emerged on his face.
"I don't know why I'm feeling so good. I must say, this life keeps getting better and better!"
He stood up and pulled out his phone from his pocket. "It's morning already, that sleep was really…Huh? Five days?"
His phone actually showed he slept for five days! He fell into a daze and remembered. "Fucking game! So stressful! What was that test anyway? I don't think most would have easily passed a test like that."
He sat down besides a computer and signed up for the new infinity forum. Why are there so many posters? What's this grievance between Kings and Players? I have a bounty on my head?
The forum was filled with curses and Kings getting rich overnight. Jace quickly read through the posts to get up to date.
Player Sword Emperor: "I feel stronger in reality. Five times stronger! The bully in my school is a king. I'm gonna beat him up now. Bye."
WTF! Jace was stunned. He realized that he could recall the hundreds of threads he read with ease. 'Is this because of the boost to my intelligence?'
He stopped cursing Infinity and wanted to play more. "I haven't played for five days. Won't I be killed immediately I go online?"
He shivered. He knew he had only one chance at this. He began to envy the Kings. He scrolled down in the hopes of finding information to help him.
"What's about the coffin? Players and Kings can't kill each other inside the city?" Jace saw this and quickly ran to the capsule.
-Ding. Game loading. Welcome to Infinity, Player Extremely Lazy!
The world blurred and became dark. A sparkling word appeared in front of him. OPEN?
"Yes." The hatch above him opened and he found himself lying down. He stood up and he found out that he was lying in a coffin!
He had expected this a bit, but it was still unsettling. He climbed out and looked around.
