You're fired.

The giddiness in Sasha's heart at the moment was indescribable. She couldn't even explain how she was feeling, but there were so many emotions flowing through her.

She slowly took a step forward causing Ryan to reluctantly let go of his hold on her.

Ryan slightly panicked when she didn't say anything and just stood stiffly. He feared she was still angry at him. He regretted ever quarrelling with her and he had spent the last four hours thinking about how he could rectify his mistake and make with her.

"I promise I'll never do anything without your consent again. I'll put your feelings first before I'll act" He promised. His large body leaned forward as his handsome face closed in on her.

The fragrance of alcohol entered her nostrils. Ryan was too close to her. "Say something, Sasha" Ryan said.

"Okay," She nodded her head.

With a subtle smile, Ryan remarked, "Are we good now?"

Sasha went silent for a while as she looked at Ryan who looked nervous. "Yes, We are good now." She replied as she retracted her hand, "It's late. I should get going."

It was late, and she did not dare to stay alone with him at his place.

She turned to leave, but it was raining outside. It looked like the rain would only get heavier.

"I will drive you," Ryan said.

"You are drunk. And I can go alone." Sasha replied.

"How could I let you go home alone? Kelvin will drive you back." Ryan said as he whipped out his phone from his pocket.

"No way!" Sasha snatched his phone with a bold expression.

"Ryan, Hear me out once. I will surely call when I reach home. Please!" Sasha said earning approval from Ryan.

Ryan had such a careful mind, that he calculated his steps one at a time and made Kelvin follow her secretly until she reached home.

Sasha slept until she woke up naturally. When she roused, the sun was already overhead. Rubbing her eyes, she fumbled for her cell phone. The instant she glimpsed the time, her eyes instantly went wide.

What the hell? It's eleven o'clock in the morning? Oh God, how did I oversleep? Damn it! I'm already late for work today! I'm sure I set my alarm, so why didn't I hear it ringing?

Sasha slowly sat down on her desk and started working.

"Sasha!"

Owen's unpleasant voice interrupted the office. She was already disgusted by him, so hearing his voice made me even more nauseated.

She stood up and looked at Owen, who was approaching me, with an indifferent gaze. His beady eyes were filled with rage.

"Do you know what time it is? Why are you coming so late?"

Upon seeing Owen walk up to her, the other employees returned to their seats and cast furtive glances at her, clearly waiting for a good show.

"I am sorry, Supervisor." Sasha apologised.

"You should informed when you came late" Owen planted his hands on his hips and scowled at her.

Right then, an employee who was closest to the door exclaimed, "Mr. Shore is here. Oh my God! I can't believe he's here in our department!"

For some inexplicable reason, Sasha's heart started beating wildly in her chest when she heard his name.

Sasha was dressed in a full black suit which complemented his tall figure. He strode in with his signature icy expression and unreadable obsidian eyes. His chiselled face was gorgeous yet unapproachable, and his intimidating aura effectively kept people a distance away from him.

Two secretaries were trailing behind him with equally serious expressions.

Owen was also momentarily stunned. When he finally regained his senses, he scurried over to greet Ryan.

As he stood before Ryan, he broke into an ingratiating smile and asked cautiously, "What brings you here, Mr. Shore? Is there something I can do for you?"

Ryan shot him a cursory glance before beckoning his secretaries. A document file was immediately handed over to him.

"It has recently come to my attention that you've been doing many things that are damaging to the company." Ryan's voice was disconcertingly neutral.

Owen's plump figure visibly stiffened and he asked in a panicky voice, "Mr. Shore, what do you mean by that?"

He passed the document to Owen and demanded coldly, "Your department seems to have a very high budget, but a detailed investigation has shown that each project can't cost that much. Mr. Owen, don't you think you need to explain yourself?"

Sasha noticed that Owen's legs had started shaking. It turned out that he wasn't just lecherous, but also greedy to the point of embezzling money from the company.

"M-Mr. Shore, I…" Owen fumbled for words with his eyes still fixed on the documents.

"You're fired, Mr. Owen. The company lawyers will contact you to discuss the budget in private."

Owen looked at Ryan in horror and pleaded, "I made a terrible mistake. I promise that it'll never happen again. Please forgive me."

Ryan frowned in annoyance and his gaze sharpened. Noticing this, one of his secretaries snapped, "Security, what are you waiting for? Drag Mr. Owen out!"

All the employees watched as Owen was hauled off the premises. The entire office descended into a pin-drop silence, probably still in disbelief.

"What are all of you doing? Get back to work!"

Everyone, including Sasha, was stunned in place. It wasn't until Clark's stern voice broke the silence that she snapped back to her senses.
