Altier; The Triology

It is said that when the Door of Truth is opened, immense power will be granted to those who were able to unlock it. However, it can only be opened by the keys "the world itself" has granted to seven heroes the gods themselves have chosen. An intelligent witch whose only purpose in life is to oppose the Demon Kings. An elusive mercenary who thirst for vengeance on demons and hell itself. A freedom fighter who struggles against humanity's slovenly nature. A prideful angel who wants to protect their home and place in Heaven. A powerful demihuman who yearns for justice and a world of equality. A kind elf who takes from the strong and gives to the poor. And finally, a young man who carries great ambitions. Exactly seven heroes, huh. And out of the millions of people that exist, I was chosen to be one of them. Not that I'm complaining. It's just that, fate really is a funny thing-... But I do wonder. What lies on the other side of this game that we play? What exactly is the dark truth of this world? I'll find out, no matter what happens. Even if it means exploiting those close to me. ~~~ The Thumbnail art is not my creation. All the credit however goes to the ones who first made this beautiful masterpiece. If you are the artist and you not like it, please contact me and I shall remove it at my earliest convenience. There is no NTR, per say. This story is one part of the "Trilogy" series because this book itself is one of the three main stories that makes up the true story of the Altier franchise, so please look forward to that. Now with that said. Get yourself comfortable with some snacks, music, toys( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and start reading!

Her Plans Put In Motion

February 28, 1976 (Present Day)

The House of the Crowleys

(Yamir's POV)

And just like that, one week passed.

During that timeframe though, I realized something important.

I really have no friends on my side.

My personal connections don't count either since they are not somebody I should try relying on consistently.

Not to mention, they have close ties with the people in the workplace and the higher ups.

Even if I tried pulling strings and calling in favors, it'll still be too risky to work with any of them.

However, I can't exactly do this alone either.

Which is exactly why I need the help of a third party.

If I can just get some people who both exist outside the "organization", and are, preferably, strong enough to take them on head first, my plans will go a lot smoother thanks to their added assistance.

So color me surprised when I realized that there was already the perfect opportunity to do so, on the same day we arrived in Cheshire no less.

That golden opportunity was named Yamato and it was through her I was able to make my first move.

This first occured when I told Via I needed to go to the bathroom.

However, that was a lie. I simply said I did just so I could direct Via's attention elsewhere.

Upon returning a few minutes later, I intentionally bumped into Yamato in a way that wouldn't cause too much of a scene.

And that was when I said it.

"I'm on your side."

".....!?"

From that point on, I successfully planted a "seed" of sorts in her.

Now if everything goes according to plan, that seed should blossom into mutual trust.

However, only time will tell whether or not she will take me under her wing.

After all, we just met and I already declared myself as her "friend", so of course I'm bound to be met with certain skepticism.

But whether for good or for worse, a direct approach is what moves relationships along.

And that's exactly what I need.

Now of course, I had my reasons as to why, out of all the people in here, I picked Yamato specifically.

I won't go into detail yet, but I can say that one of the many reasons why I did was because she was closely related to a guy named "Dazai".

The reason why should be self explanatory.

"Daz."

Speaking of which, I never would have imagined to find two potential characters who could match that description on the same day.

"Dazrael, huh." I mumbled aloud.

"Aw, are you still thinking about him?~ Don't tell me~ Was it love at first sight?~" Via teased.

"Shut up."

"Hehe~"

I rolled my eyes at her.

"Did you see anything special in him?" She asked.

"He certainly was an interesting character, to say the very least. He didn't seem like somebody I would trust anytime soon, but I didn't exactly sense any ill intent from him either." I explained.

"Yeah, I figured as much. Well, I suppose he doesn't matter for right now. Let's focus on eating."

The moment she said that, Dazai had came into view.

The tray he carried was large, but the bowls of food were fairly small. There were beef bowls of grilled steak and onions, heaps of rice, two bowls of soup and a cold and crisp salad to top it off.

Though each came in small and enjoyable bite sized portions, this was still clearly too much food to handle for just the two of us.

"Uh, hey, you do realize I'm a light eater, right?"

"Yeah, I know. This food's all for me~"

Ah yeah, that's right. I forgot that Via was a insatiable glutton who had a black hole for a stomach.

This girl could eat up a whole farm if she wanted to and still ask for seconds.

Not to mention, all that ungodly amount of fat probably went to her breasts and ass.

Hell, I'm pretty sure she knows that too.

How shameful.

"Itadakimasuuu!~" Via said while clapping her hands together in gratitude.

"What?" Dazai asked, unsure by what she meant.

"In our language, apparently it means "thank you for the food" or something. It's a cultural thing." I translated.

Although I say that, I'm not exactly sure what language that is either.

But for some odd reason, asking about it was a line both Riad and Via did not want me to cross.

"Oh, okay. Well, let me know if you guys need anything else." Dazai eventually said before wandering off elsewhere.

Eventually, we were left alone with the appetizing smell of our food.

"Hehe~ Time to chow down!~"

As Via began indulging her food in hearty and fast paced bites, I took my time slowly and began thinking a bit more to myself.

Eventually, one question suddenly came to mind.

Out of Dazai and Dazrael, who seems more likely to be the person in my dreams?

It was an interesting question and one that got me thinking. But after considering what I know about him, one answer was made clear.

To be truthful, it had to be Dazrael.

At the very first moment we met each other, he questioned whether or not we met before, indicating I must've reminded him of somebody.

Then he began talking about "fate", believing that our encounter was meant to happen, especially when said, "Especially you, Yamir~"

Course, all of this was superficial speculation.

All of these factors can also point to the possibility of him just having some romantic interest towards me.

…in "that" kind of way.

Ew.

The very thought of it was enough to make me shudder in disgust.

Regardless, there was one other thing that was odd about Dazai. It was his reaction to the sketch paper that fell from the bills that Dazrael left behind.

Clearly, Dazrael was the one who drew it, but that symbol was something that caught Dazai off guard when he first noticed it.

As I was wondering if it had anything to do with anything special, I committed that sketch to memory and began cross referencing it with any other sigils I have seen in the past.

Unfortunately, no matter how I tried looking at it, nothing in particular came to mind.

Eh, I guess it doesn't matter for right now.
