Chapter 13.Hatred of an Uchiha

|Footsteps of a running person approached the door. The door opened as I entered. "I am sorry, I got held up at work"

My wife was smiling at me. Beside her, my wife's sister was holding the baby. I approached slowly. "Is it a girl?"

"She looks just like her father," my wife said.

"Seriously, why do you let him see other women? He couldn't even come to his child's birth in time"

"Nee-san, don't be mad at him! He must have been busy. That's how he is and that's why I love him"

My wife was defending my behaviour, against her sister. My wife didn't oppose my lifestyle. She respected my choices even if her sister was against them. Her sister showed me, my daughter to hold. That was the happiest day of my life. Before I could hold her, there was an explosion…|

Saruto woke up suddenly with his body sweating all over his bed. He could feel his body burning.

'Hey, what the hell was that?'

[Memories from your past life as a dream]

Saruto adjusted his hair by looking at the mirror in his bedroom, his lower body still laying down on his bed.

'It hasn't happened before. Why now?'

[I don't know]

'Maybe it's the seal. Is the seal intact?'

[Yes]

'And the cocoons?'

[The process is incomplete but two of them can be summoned]

'Good to know. Well, I have to do the genin exams now'

[Saruto…what about Sasuke? The kid is emotionally unstable]

'I thought I could convince him but….'

Saruto sighed, 'Hey, he doesn't hate his Kaa-san. That's a good thing'

[But he thinks you seduced her and tricked her into sleeping with you. You know what he is capable of. He's Indra's reincarnation]

'He doesn't know what I am capable of. If he wants to fight, he'll fight Naruto of course. Why would I bother with his immature attitude when I have bigger fishes to fry'

Saruto went to his bathroom to get ready for his exams.

At the academy, Sasuke was training alone. His classmates and the other students were watching his training. He showcased his talent and impressed them. Once he was done, he was panting as he thought 'That bastard! He tricked my parents and even slept with my mother. The government was scheming against the clan. Yashiro is right. Saruto is a spy sent by the government. I'll beat him'

He looked around the field. Everyone was watching him except Naruto. Naruto was staying away from his classmates on a swing.

'That loser, they're all losers. Ni-san is the strongest. These guys can never be like him but I can. I'll become stronger than him'

Sasuke smirked as he continued his training. Meanwhile, Saruto was standing on the rooftop, watching Sasuke's determination. He then body flicked away.

Saruto entered a classroom where Mitarashi Anko and Umino Iruka were sitting. Saruto with his hands inside his pocket said his salutations and stood before them. "What kind of exams am I going to do?"

Iruka spoke, "First of all you didn't even introduce yourself"

"The name is Saruto. I am an outsider who is living here for more than six years. That's all you need to know"

Anko then spoke, "In this exam, you'll need to perform some basic jutsus like…"

Saruto made three clones. Iruka and Anko were amazed by it but they immediately changed their expression after realising that this was a man in his 20s doing an exam for a 12-year-old. This was ridiculous but Saruto himself agreed to do it.

Saruto performed some other jutsus. The exams ended. Iruka officially declared Saruto as a genin. Saruto asked, "So, when are the chunin exams happening?"

Anko and Iruka exchanged looks. Anko spoke, "The chunin exams will be held here in Konohagakure in two weeks"

"Yes!", Saruto celebrated.

"But you won't be able to participate"

"Why is that?"

"Because we haven't assigned you yet with a team. All the teams participating in the exams have to be a three-man squad. Right now, you're the only rookie because last year's badges aren't participating and this year's badges still haven't finished their studies at the academy"

"So, I should wait until I get a team. Is that what you are saying?"

"Yes. It will take roughly a year but you'll be appointed to other teams if someone in the team were to be injured. So, you'll take the chunin exams two years from now at Sunagakure", said Anko.

'I see that's why Danzo acted at this time. He's trying to keep me with the genins so that I won't interfere with higher-ranked missions and government issues. I would say clever but that idiot is cunning'

Saruto was thinking. That's when there was a knock. "Come in!", said Iruka. A twelve-year-old boy and a twelve-year-old girl entered. They were holding a scroll. They gave it to Iruka who started reading it.

"I see, you two are refugees who came to Konoha"

"What's it, Iruka sensei?", asked Anko. Iruka put the scroll down and spoke, "The Hokage wants us to test these two refugees. Once they become genin they will be part of the village. And also, they can form a three-man squad with Saruto"

"I see, our Hokage is a kind person"

"Saruto will you wait outside until we finish testing your potential teammates?"

"Hey, no problem!"

Saruto was standing outside the room where he did his genin exams. "It's been a while captain!"

Saruto tilted his head towards the person who talked. "Itachi, what are you doing here?"

"I am relieved from my Anbu duties now I am a Jonin leader"

"That's great. Do you have a team?"

Itachi chuckled. Saruto frowned because now he understood that the table has turned around.

"No, you can't be. You were one of my subordinates Itachi"

"It's going to be captain Itachi or Itachi sensei that sounds good"

"Hokage, you did it on purpose"

Saruto yelled at the ceiling and then he smiled. They talked a little bit. "Ni-san!"

Sasuke came there when he found out his brother was there.

"And you? What are you doing with my Ni-san?", he now addressed Saruto with his widened eyes.

"He's my superior from now on"

"That means Ni-san is stronger than you. Ni-san, can you train with me? I want to beat this guy"

"Sorry Sasuke, some other time"

Sasuke who was cheerful just became frustrated.

"You! You manipulated him too!"

Saruto hit his forehead. "Sasuke just stop this attitude of yours. Just go back to your class!", said Saruto.

"Shut up! Yashiro was right"

He turned back and started walking back to his classroom. Itachi asked, "What happened to him? Why does he hate you?"

"He thinks I manipulated your clan to obey the government"

"But he didn't know about the coup d'etat how come he got this thought"

"He mentioned a certain Yashiro. Who's that?"

"One of Tou-san's trusted subordinates, he has been acting strange lately, so I have been following him"

"What did you find out?"

"I was going to tell the Hokage first but you're someone I trust so I can tell you"

Saruto and Itachi have been in two or three missions together. Itachi trusted Saruto because of Shisui and the fact that he always found some loopholes to help his subordinates. In the little amount of time they worked together, Itachi had faith that this man can protect the village. Itachi continued, "Yashiro has been meeting someone in the woods, a masked man"

"That guy, huh! That's how your father knows a lot about me and my captaincy"

"I heard rumours about that man among the Anbu"

"It appears that this Yashiro has been giving misleading information against the village from this masked man to your father. Now that Fugaku-san trusts the Hokage, he is trying to manipulate your younger brother. He is too young and can easily be manipulated"

"I'll take care of him"

"No, we'll do it together"

That's when the door opened. The two others who did the genin exams came with headbands that they just got. Saruto opened his bag and took his headband. He wore it as did the two others. "Captain, do you know them?"

"Kind of… and you're the captain now Itachi"

"Well, that is officially the case. Unofficially, you should be"

Saruto chuckled as he turned his gaze to the two others.

"Mei, Bima, this is Itachi, our team leader. We need to do as many missions as we can in a week. In that way, Itachi can recommend us for the chunin exam"

"So, you do know them," said Itachi.

"Let's go, captain!" ×3

All three of them said that to Itachi!
