Chapter 10

(Lexia's POV): The Alpha seemed to be mindlinking, he really can't stay. He has a pack to take care of. Tala seemed to whimper at the thought of him leaving, so I decided to distract us by making dinner. Checking the time I noticed it was around five O'clock. Without the Alpha noticing, I got up and exited the room. It seemed really cold, I should probably turn up the heat, but first I have to figure out how. I headed down to the dark basement to try and find anything to heat the place up.

Smash.

I spun around only to see a smashed mason jar. Shaking my head I continued to look round. I spotted a lot of other switches on one of the walls. And not knowing what switch did what; I began to just flip all the switches one at a time. Most of them did nothing, but I finally found the switch for the furnace. So I flipped it! I turned around to find something blocking my exit.

A shadow was blocking my way, and it was in the shape of a man p. Only I was the only person down here. I stumbled and it didn't move. Ok, so it definitely wasn't my shadow. Maybe there's a dead

Entity down here. And it meant no harm, maybe it just wanted to talk to someone? Suddenly it moved and a sinister grin replaced its shadowy appearance. Before I could scream, it slammed a cloth to my face. I tried holding my breath as long as I could. But it seemed this shadow had all day to wait. I however did not. Before I passed out I heard a message.

"Niiiiiiiii-ght, Niiiiiiiii-ght, liiiii-ttle giiiii-rl. Masssssster willlll beeee plea-ssssed!"

Zero's POV: Knock, Knock, Knock

"Come in!" I yelled.

"Massss-ter! Shadow and Eclipse have come back with you-rrr pre-sssent. They put he-rrr in one of the guest rooms." One of the Hybrids says.

I leave my Chambers and head to the room with her smell. Silently opening the door I slip in. Lexia laid unconscious on the bed, I sat at the end, and pulled out the handcuffs. I was careful to not wake her, as I used two cuffs to cuff her to the bed. And I also tied her feet to the bedpost. She was in a starfish position, and she started to stir. So I sat on the chair near the bed. Lexia groaned and tried to touch her head with her hands. And after a couple attempts, she realized something wasn't right.

She blinked her eyes open and stared around the room, her eyes landed on me and she froze. Standing up to make my way over to her, she began to squirm against the restraints. I crawled over her, and I'm now on top of her. Bending down I kiss her neck and trail down. She whimpered.

"Shhh" I soothed.

She began to cry, I wiped her tears with my thumb and she jerked away, gathering as much confidence as she could, she spat out.

"Get away from me."

Anger bubbled in my stomach, but I ignored it and her. I continued kissing her. Moving from her neck to her lips then exploring her body with my hands. Feeling every curve on her body, moving myself up I put some of my weight on her, sitting on her waist I continued to do what I pleased with her. Happy that that stupid Alpha can't have her anymore. I did what I pleased!

Kox's POV: They took her, they took my mate. She's mine and only mine, and if that Jerk touches her even once. I'm making his death a slow and painful one. They took her from the basement, stupid shadow creatures. Yes, I said creatures. Because I found more snooping around the house.

With my pack on the way and having to sit and wait for them, I began to become restless and I found myself unable to sit. I paced my mates house and saw red. Making sure to not break anything, I paced and paced until I could pace no more and all I saw was red.

'How dare he take what is ours.' I growled.

Quest growled in agreement. They took her over an hour ago and my pack still hasn't got here! I was furious.

Knock, Knock, Knock

Shifting back into my human form, I marched up to the front door and flung it open. Zev, Lance, and Xena all pile into my mates home.

"Holy! This is almost the size of a pack house." My sister screams in awe.

"Yeah, she just moved in a few hours ago. And now." I trailed off.

"Don't worry bro, we'll get her back! I'm not letting my new sister in-law go that easily." Xena snarls.

"And you can count us in, that idiots got our Luna!'' Lance grinned.

"How about adding one more to that wolf mix?" A feminine voice says from behind my gang.

We all turn around to see a female vampire, who is she?

Lexia's POV: I later found out that my kidnappers name is Zero. And he wanted me for himself for some reason. I tried getting out of these restraints, but it was no use. So I had two choices, play along or I rot in here for the rest of my life.

'I say we play along, and when the time comes we stab him in the back.' Tala says with a sick grin.

I slowly copy that grin and I start thinking of other ideas to get him to believe me.

It's been a week since I've been kidnapped. And today is the day I escape! Well, actually tonight I escape and kill Zero in the process.

Currently I am laying in the bed waiting for Zero, the door opens and he enters the room. He grins at the sight of me waiting for him in bed.

"Have you finally accepted me?'' He asks with a smirk.

"Yes!" I lied.

I grabbed him by the scruff of his shirt and pulled him down onto the bed, he pulled his shirt off and tossed it on the floor. He flips us so I'm on the top and he's beneath me.

'It's time, do it!' Tala snarled.

I bent down and whispered in his ear.

"Our time spent together has been different." I trailed off.

I pretended to push myself against him, but instead I was actually grabbing my knife from under the pillow!

"Too bad all things come to an end—Not!" I snarled, stabbing him.

He gasped and fell against the bed and he stopped moving. I made sure I stabbed him in the heart. I quickly grabbed my backpack, and I ran out of the room. I'm so glad he removed my cuffs yesterday. Knowing he's not dead, I have twenty-four hours to get as far as I can from here. And I have to be careful about his Hybrid creatures. I ran out, stupid immortal can't be killed and he's a shape shifter too. I ran to the stables and I stood in front of the already bridalled horse that I readied earlier. I quickly got out and used the route I've been planning to use for days. The horse sped up at my instruction.

I've been riding for eight hours straight, and I was beginning to fall asleep. All around me was a forest that continued on for acres. I jumped off the horse and smacked its hip. The horse ran off leaving me and my stuff in a forest. I made my way to a big Birch tree that has lots of thick branches. I picked a branch not too high, yet not too low. And it was sturdy enough to hold my weight. I climbed it and tied myself with a rope to a tree, so I didn't fall.

Taking one last glance around, I finally let myself have a better sleep than I have this week. Maybe not the best, but it was better than these past seven nights. Darkness welcomed me as a friend this time and not an enemy.

I blinked open my eyes and I saw a familiar wolf, and my old friend from school, Bree. There were three other wolves in the room, and they all looked relieved. The female had black fur and golden eyes seemed to glow from where she stood, she had small silver specks in her irises.

The male in front of me had black hair identical to the female. His eyes were stormy grey with golden rings around them. He gave me a lop-sided wolfy grin. And the other man near the female, Beta probably. Had brown fur with blue eyes and golden flecks.

Last of the guys was the Gamma, He had Dirty Blonde fur. His Hazel eyes also had flecks of Gold.

Everyone seemed to be staring at me in hopes of something, I was about to say something. When a searing pain ripped through my body. They all took a step back except Bree and the Alpha. The others looked confused but these two looked knowingly at one another. I screamed out in pain as I felt my knee pop out of place. Bree gave the Alpha an order and he nodded. Scooping me up in his arms he left the four behind, and he took me outside. My whole body was on fire except for where he touched me. The popping kept going on in different areas.

'Sorry Lexia, I tried holding it in for as long as we could so this didn't happen with Zero. But I just can't hold it back any longer. And I sense something big in the near future.' Tala says.

This Alpha was mouthing soothing words to me. Suddenly he shifts

Into his human form and he looked no different than I had imagined.

My bones cracked and popped in weird angles. I bit my lip to stop from screaming. Finally thinking it was over I relaxed before I felt my bones rearrange themselves in my body, and that wasn't all. I felt myself drop on all fours, and then I began to grow. Looking down at myself I looked exactly like Tala does! I felt my nose extend and a snout formed, and that was only the beginning. My gums and teeth started to hurt, I felt my teeth sharpen into those of a Tiger's, but that's weird because my snout was fox-like. Wait no, more like I had the canines of a Tiger and the rest were fox teeth. Once the pain stopped, I was able to get up and I looked into the eyes of the Alpha, he stared at me in shock, awe. There was also another emotion in his eyes, that I didn't recognise.

Shaking my head, I ended up shaking all my fur, and that's when the other four broke through the forest to where we were. The wolves were no longer in wolf form, instead they were in their human forms. The girl I didn't know handed me a dress and I used my mouth to grab it. Running behind a tree, Tala helped me shift back. It wasn't as painful this time, but Tala says the more I shift the more my body gets used to rearranging. I noticed my mate shifted back earlier. I slid on the dress and undergarments. Walking out from behind the tree, I felt better.

Chapter 12 (Xena's POV):We all rushed into the clearing once Bree finished talking about how Lexia was shifting into a Tox. We all stood in amazement at her form, she's sure big. Don't tell Alpha but she sure tops his size!

Knox stood waiting for her. And his face, P-R-I-C-E-L-E-S-S.

'Your whipped!' I chuckled through the link, the two other boys chuckled as well.

'Shut up!' He said, but he was still looking at his mate.

'Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss!' I chanted.

The boys joined in through the link,

'Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, ki-'

'Shut Up!' He growled.

We erupted into fits of laughter, and my brother rolled his eyes. Then she came out from shifting, and must I say she looked better after shifting.

'So, you're gonna introduce us to my soon to be sister Alpha?' I asked through mindlink.

He cleared his throat, gaining all of our attention.

"Lexia. This is my sister Xena, my Beta Zev, and my Gamma Lance." He says.

She sends us a smile, and we smile back. Then her gaze flickered to me. Making her way over to me she asked me a few questions.

"How long have you been at my house? Sorry it's all over the place. I just moved in. Oh, and what's his name?" She pointed at my brother.

I stared wide eyed and glared at the questioning look he gave me.

'You Didn't Tell Your Mate Your Own Name!' I snarled.

It was the boys turn to stare at their Alpha with an 'are you an idiot' look. He looked away guiltily and shrugged, rolling my eyes. I answered my soon to be sister-in-law.

"That idiot of a brother of mine's name is Knox!" I heard her giggle.

We headed back to the house and sat in the living room, and chatted and goofed around. Lexia let us stay over since the rain, but the rain outside had turned to snow, and by the looks of things we were snowed in.

Zev's POV: We had been talking and goofing around when that smell attacked my senses again. I had taken a whiff of it countless times this past week, but it was never as strong as it is now, and it smelt amazing! Finally having enough of this mystery scent; I got up and followed it. No one noticed my absence. Checking around Luna's house I found there were no candles or things to release scents. So continuing my journey to find this scent. It led me all through the house and it was fading fast, picking up my pace the scent suddenly stopped and I was left lost. Going back to find it. It had faded completely. Turns out I was on the top floor of our Luna's house. I made my way back down to where the others were, and entered the room. I was stopped by this mysterious scent again, finally having enough of these tricky games I spoke,

"Does anyone smell that?"

"Smell what?'' The others ask in usion.

"Nevermind." I trailed off.

I looked around the room. One, two, three, four, five—we are missing someone. Bree I think her name is? That scent wafted towards me, and I was trapped in it. I let the scent pull me to a room, and I paused. Chocolate and Cherries. Why would the scent pull me to Bree's room? I didn't have much time to guess since the door opened, and let's just say the air was knocked right out of me.

Bree's POV: I was just stepping out of the shower when the scent that's been playing around with my nose entered my bathroom. Cinnamon and Apples. Quickly throwing a towel around me, knowing the scent won't stay forever. I ran out of the bathroom and sniffed the air. I had it! Whatever was giving off this scent was on the other side of my door. Opening the door, still not even registering what I was doing because of this scent. My breath caught in my throat at what I saw. He was—

"Mine!" He growled out.

Suddenly I was pulled towards him, and everywhere he touched lit up sparks. The Apple and Cinnamon scent was coming from him!

"Mate!" He growled, not threateningly but more of a claim.

"Yes." I say.

I relaxed into his touch, and that's when his eyes darkened. And that was when reality caught up to me. I was clinging to the Beta in the middle of the hallway of Lexia's house. With nothing but a towel around me. I immediately flushed, and if that wasn't enough, we were caught!

"Ack! my eyes!" A very innocent voice screamed.

Our heads whipped into the direction of the voice, and the Beta covered my body with his. I peaked over to see Xena with her hands over her eyes, and her back facing us, soon more people joined her and they too covered their eyes.

" P.D.A. Get a room you two, not my hallway!" Lexia screamed.

"If you say so!"

The beta gently nudged me back into my room, and followed me in. Shutting the door behind him, he faced me and we were both a deep scarlet red. But that didn't seem to bother the Beta. He kissed me and I went limp in his arms, he wrapped my legs around his torso and we continued kissing. And let's just say he slept in my room, in my bed, with me.

Lexia's POV: Let's just say walking back down stairs, and forgetting what we just witnessed is harder said than done. So before anything else could happen, we all decided to go to bed. I showed the others to their rooms. And Knox ended up in a different room than me, much to his disapproval. After taking a quick shower I slid into bed. I began to toss and turn for about fifty minutes, before I heard my door.

Creak

I sat up quickly, and saw Knox in wolf form creeping along the edge of the room in the shadows. I stopped a giggle as I watched him creep closer and closer to me and my bed. Finally I spoke, startling him.

"Couldn't sleep?" He froze like a deer caught in headlights and made eye contact with me.

'No, what about you?' He says telepathically.

"Nope."

It was silent, and neither of us moved until Knox broke that uncomfortable feeling. By making his way towards my bed, just as he was about to jump on I stopped him.

"No." I said sternly.

"Shift." I ordered.

'What?' He asked.

"You heard me! Shift.''

" B-but-'' He stopped, seeing as I was serious.

Ok if he was in human form he'd be as red as an apple right now, I mentally chuckled. I covered my eyes, and heard the familiar sound of bones cracking as he shifted back.

"Do you have any shorts?'' He asked nervously.

"Dresser, bottom drawer." I told him.

I heard shuffling, then silence. All of a sudden I felt the bed dip and felt familiar sparks at his contact. Laying down stiffly we both looked up at the ceiling.

'Hell, you two are awkward.' Tala laughed.

'Shut up-' I was cut off by Knox clearing his throat.

Knox's POV: I can't believe I actually did this, me and my wolf couldn't sleep. So thinking she was asleep we thought of joining her, but she was wide awake. And Quest was whimpering in my head.

'What?' I asked him

'Either you man up and do it or I take over and do it myself and you won't get control till morning.' My wolf threatened.

My eyes widened, and I knew I couldn't let him take control. If he took control we'd be done with the mating process tonight, and I don't wanna take Lexia like my wolf does. I mean I'd love too.Just at least not this soon . . .

I wanna take our time, so that Lexia and I can be well, not just pushed through this because of the mating bond. I want her to actually fall in love with Quest and I. Which means if Quest wants to take her tonight then I need to keep my wall up and him in the back of my mind.

'Knox.' He whined

'Alright.'

I noticed that during my mental conversation with Quest, our mate was still awake with her back to us. Suddenly part of what Quest meant made sense. I wouldn't be able to sleep without her in my arms. So taking a deep breath I put my arms around her waist, and pulled her toward me. She relaxed under my touch and that made me relieved. Turning around in my arms she laid her head on my bare chest and wrapped her arms around my waist. We both fall into the best sleep we've ever had in our lives.
