First Kill!

Once Scarlett was out of sight, October turned to face Augusta. She had her hands clasped across her chest. "Why are you here?"

Augusta looked up at October before setting the juice glass back on the tray. "To see my niece."

"Jokes." October scoffed. "Why exactly are you here?"

Legs crossed, Augusta sat back in the chair. With a smirk. "You know me too well." She leaned forward. Hands were placed on both legs after they had been released. "I came for revenge."

"Revenge? What revenge? Edward's death was an accident. I told your father that on the day of his funeral."

Augusta started to chuckle. "And do you think I believed all that? I have men in this area, October. I learned what had happened to Edward and how he had been discovered after going missing for a while. He had claw marks on him, and his heart was missing." She continued to chuckle while shaking her head before becoming solemn. She set about scowling. "We all know who is capable of doing that."
