Nap Time

We step inside and look around, but I see nothing.

"Come here."

She whispers quietly and goes towards the building map.

I walk over and look to where she's pointing.

"What am I supposed to be seeing?"

I say and look at her confused.

"Look, they have Betas living in the pool and on the basketball court."

She says and looks at me.

"Ok.... Where's the Alphas though?"

I say and start searching the map for another entrance.

"They literally sit in the lifeguard towers, and they stay in the locker rooms. Also, there's only the front entrance to the pool.... I've already checked."

She looks down and gets nervous.

"Hey."

I snap my fingers.

"What?"

She looks at me depressed.

"Cut the shit, understand?"

I say and stare at her.

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

She says, with an edge in her voice.

"I'm talking about your BF.

Cut the shit.

Do you honestly think he told you to kill him, just so you'd live like this..... He'd want you to go in there and raise hell, making sure he didn't die in vain."

I say and stare at her, not sure how she'd react.

"Thank you."

She nods and says quietly.

"For what?"

I say and watch her.

"Being right.... Now, let's get this plan going.... I'm gonna make everything right."

She nods and grabs the marker from the board beside us.

"Now, tell me the guard setup. I need to know what I'm dealing with."

I say and watch her.

"Ok, so there's one at the front door."

She draws a circle in front of the door.

"Do you know his abilities?"

I say and watch her.

"Ummm.... I think he has healing and ice.... The rest I have no idea, everybody tried to hide their abilities."

She looks at me, before turning back to the board.

"Ok.... Good to know."

I watch as she draws four more circles around each stand.

"That's where the guards are for the Betas, but there's also the dressing rooms."

She bites her lip trying to think, then stands there almost dumbfounded.

"Ok... Do you think that you could create another room with your abilities?"

I say and look at her, kinda having a plan.

"How so?"

She looks at me kinda confused.

"Basically a sound proof room, with enough space for me and someone else."

I look at her, still getting this plan ready in my head.

"Yeah..... But I don't know how long I could hold it."

She looks at me, still biting her lip. This time kinda worried.

"How long could you hold it?"

I ask and watch her.

"Six seconds max."

She looks at me with a defeated look.

"Perfect.... I thought you were gonna say like three. Six is more than enough time."

I move to the basketball court and point to it.

"Guard positions?"

"Hold up, I need to memorize this."

I think to myself, then start to study the map.

"Two doors at the front, a walking track around the top, with a protective wall. The court in the middle, and the office over on the other side."

I memorize the court, before listening.

"Umm.... One at this door."

She points to the front, then moves to the to the office.

"Always three over here... One more on the bottom of the south side bleachers."

She circles both areas.

"Ok... This might work."

I say and study the positions.

"Hold up.... I'm happy you have a plan, but do you mind sharing what it is?"

She says and looks at me.

"Ok... The room you have to make, it'll give me enough time to kill them one by one....

We have to worry about sound, but because of the separated betas it's harder.

We're gonna start with the basketball court.

Kill them one by one and free the betas, then we'll move to the pool.

That way we have an advantage."

I look at her, as I'm running this plan in my head.

"Holy shit, that might actually work."

She looks at me, kinda amazed.

"We just can't let the pool Alphas hear us."

I say and look at her.

"I won't let them."

She starts to ready herself.

"Also, I don't need you going rogue over void. Every other Alpha you get the void, fair?"

I look at her, trying to avoid the problem, but also grow her abilities.

"Yeah, sounds fair."

She says and watches me.

"Ok, you ready?"

I say and look down the hall, towards the basketball court's door.

"Yeah."

She looks down there too, then starts walking.

"Remember.... No mercy."

I get in front of her, then slow down as we reach the door.

"I don't have any to give."

She says quietly, then steps behind me.

I slowly pull open the door, then step in and hold it.

Letting her step by, before closing it slowly.

I crouch behind the wall, but still standing in the doorway.

I look out and see the first guard, he's about 5 feet to my right...

I turn to her and nod, then step out and move towards him.

She follows close behind, getting ready.

I hear nothing around me, then I put my hand out and use my tendril to impale the guy.

"Perfect."

I think to myself, then drain his void and move around the track.

"Was that right?"

She whispers and looks at me.

"Did you hear anything?"

I say and look back.

"No."

She moves up beside me.

"Then yes.... Now you're gonna have to get the whole office, because it's gonna be a slaughter in there."

I look at her, then stand by the door.

"I know. Don't worry about it."

She nods and gets ready.

"1...2...3."

I say, then hear nothing as I kick the door open.

I see three Alphas turn, then one goes to throw his hand up.

I swipe my hand sideways, then watch as they're decapitated.

"Do you just like to decapitate people?"

She looks at me and laughs softly.

"Just the most efficient way to put assholes down."

I laugh back, then drain one of their voids and step back.

Letting her take the promised two, then watching as she glows a slight blue.

"Holy shit, how do you feel?"

I ask and watch.

"Amazing.... Let's do this, but I got the last one on the bleacher."

She looks at me, and I see the rage ready to be released.

"He's all yours, I'll distract him."

I say to her and nod in understanding.

She steps out, before to the top of the southside's stairs.

I step out and walk down the bleachers, whistling slightly.

Then, watching as she stands up and moves down slowly.

"Hey... Who are you?"

I hear the guard say, but I ignore him.

"HEY!"

He yells before being picked up, and ripped apart at the waist.

"Well then.... She's ready."

I think to myself, then look at the betas.

"Please... Don't hurt us anymore."

I hear from someone.

"I'm not here to hurt you, but I need you to run right now."

I say and look at them.

"Wait... You're freeing us?"

I hear a kinda happy voice.

"Yes... Now go."

I say and look at them.

"No."

I hear from the crowd.

"Why the fuck not?"

I look back at them, then watch as a guy steps forward.

"They separated all of us from our family, they're in the pool."

He looks down at his wedding ring.

"Ok, well I'm going to get them right now... Leave."

I say louder.

"No... I'm coming with you."

He walks up to me, before looking me up and down.

"Why?"

I look back.

"You're one of them. This could be a trick."

He says and stares into my eyes.

"I'm one of them?"

I laugh slightly.

"No, I'm not. If I wanted you dead, then I would've already slaughtered you... Since you wanna come, let's go."

I hand him my AR, then walk up the steps.

I listen as he follows behind.

"The rest of you run."

I say and turn back towards them.

"This is about to get ugly, and some Alphas might run this way."

I watch as they start rushing into hiding, not wanting to be caught by an Alpha.

"Why would you save us?"

I hear as we reach the door heading to the pool, and the girl joins us.

"Because not all of us are bad, but what you're about to see me do.... Is gonna be horrible.

I made a promise, and I'm not gonna break it."

I look at him, feeling the burn intensify slightly.

"I understand, just let me shoot one... I need my payback."

He looks at me, then I realize they've already killed his wife. He just came for revenge.

"Just stay on the sides until you see an opening, but try and stay hidden until really needed."

I look at him, then walk down the hallway.

"Understood."

He nods and walks behind me.

"You? What's your name?"

I turn to the girl.

"Rachel. You?"

She looks at me.

"River. You?"

I turn to the guy.

"Jake."

He says quietly.

"Rachel. Raise hell and kill anyone going for the Betas."

I look back at her.

"Got it."

She nods, then we all stop and stare at the door.

"Everybody ready?"

I say and ready my hands.

"Ready."

I hear in unison.

I nod and turn towards the door, before pushing with my hands....

The door flys open and the first guard turns, but it's pointless. Rachel lifts him and slams him into the ground, making his head explode.

The other guards look up, before jumping off their stands.

"What the Fuck?"

One guys says, before moving his hand and ice shoots out.

I throw up my hand hand and a black, translucent wall forms.

Absorbing the ice as it hits.

"RACHEL. BEHIND ME."

I yell and walk forward.

Rachel steps behind the wall, before pushing over a lifeguard stand onto one.

"Rachel. Bubble."

I say and hold my hands steady, getting ready for the plan I have.

She forms the bubble.

"Talk quick."

"Just throw me forward, when I nod."

I say and look back.

"Got it."

The bubble dissipates, then I move forward and position myself.

"Go."

I nod.

I feel weightlessness, then a rush of air as I'm thrown....

It's like time slows down.

I count the Alphas.

"1..2..3."

My hands move to the outer two, then I do a stabbing motion. Watching as the tendrils shoot out and impale them, then I see the last one. Coming at me head on...

He swings and catches me by the jaw with an ice fist, my world spins, but I see him standing in front of me.

The next blow comes from an icy boot, as it connects with my chin and sends me into the air.

"Fuck."

I think to myself, as my hands heat up slightly.

"YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD BEAT THE FUCKING ICE MAN?"

I hear him yell, then look at me a few feet away.

He turns towards Rachel and Jake.

"HEY ASSHOLE... I wasn't done whooping your ass."

I yell and stand up, feeling my broken face heal.

"You want fucking more?"

He turns back and makes his body turn to ice.

"I've been waiting to try this out."

"Come and get me, prick."

I say back and watch him, holding my hand steady.

As I can feel heat building in my hand, but not like pure fire.

He starts running and gains momentum, getting ready to spear me.....

I hold my hand steady and focus, then watch as he gets closer.

"15 feet.... 10.... 8..."

I think to myself as he nears me.

He gets ready to hit me, but I'm ready to counter.

"RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

He roars as he goes to hit me.

He doesn't get the chance.

My hand comes up formed into a tip, with fire going in swirls around it.

I go elbow deep into his chest and hear him scream in my ear, as I absorb his void and melt him from the inside out.

"I am The Alpha Omega.

You're nothing."

I say, then drop his body off my arm.

"River.... What the Fuck was that?"

I hear Rachel say.

"I... I.. I don't know... I've never done that."

I say as I extend my arms, then watch as they form into blades.

"HOLY FUCK... I've never seen morph powers...."

She says and looks at me astonished.

"You said there's more in the dressing rooms."

I say and walk over, then growl slightly as the darkness in me burns.

"Yeah... I can help."

She says and steps up beside me.

"No... Any Alpha in there, is about to die.... Get these people out of here..."

I say and look at her, catching the window behind her.

Seeing that my eyes are back to black.

"Ok.."

She nods and walks to Jake.

"Let's get them out."

Is the last thing I hear, before I step into the hallway....

Nothing.

I look at the left wall and follow it to the women's dressing room, then move my eyes all the way down the hall to the men's....

I don't feel anything as I walk down the hall.

No fear.

No hesitation.

Nothing.

I stop and bang on the wall.

"HEY ASSHOLES... COME OUT AND THE DEATH IS QUICK."

Nobody comes out, so I walk to the women's room.

Then, I stop at the door and send a tendril in.

I navigate it everywhere, before withdrawing it and turning to the men's room.

"GUYS... COME ON... HIDE AND SEEK IS OVER... I KNOW YOU'RE ALL IN THERE."

I walk up to the door, before listening and hearing rustling.

I move back about ten feet, then send out a tendril.

Sending it up to the doorknob and shaking it slightly.

"BOOOM."

The door flys open, as I gust of wind is blown through it.

Then, blades are started to be thrown through....

I easily dodge the blades, then start swiping them with my tendrils.

"How many of you are in there?"

I say, as the blades stop.

"20 strong alphas."

I hear back.

"Good... This'll be a challenge."

Is the last thing I remember, before blacking out....

I see the little bits and pieces of what I'm doing..... I'm slaughtering everyone, but they deserve it....

"Why do this to Betas?"

I think to myself as I impale someone, then use their body to hit someone else.

I start laughing histerically, before looking around and realizing I can move...

"What the fuck, where am I? Am I stuck in my own head."

I say out loud to the darkness around me.

"You're in a safe place while you slaughter everyone."

I hear someone say, but can't see anyone.

"Wait, please don't tell me I'm fucking talking to myself."

I say and look down, thinking I've lost it.

"No, you're not talking to yourself. I'm someone accessing your mind, while your body is busy."

I hear, but again I can't see anyone.

"Well then.... That's nice to know... Can I atleast see you?"

I say and look around.

"Yes."

I hear, then watch him step out of the darkness.

He looks like a normal guy.

White, about 6'2, maybe 180 pounds, and average looking.

"Who are you?"

I say and look him up and down.

"I'm The Darkness. The true Darkness... Your powers are just a mere offspring."

He says and studies me.

"Who put you on your fucking high horse?"

I say and watch him, knowing I probably shouldn't be a smart ass to this guy.

"I did... You will bow before me or perish, your choice."

He stares at me.

"I don't bow to anybody, understand?"

I say and step forward.

"Bow."

He says and takes a step back, seeming kinda nervous.

"I don't bow to Fucking anyone."

I say and stare him down, before stepping forward again.

"You will obey."

He goes to raise his hand.

I step forward and right hook this man, before hitting him with a left.

"Poof."

I'm laying with my back against the wall, and I'm covered in blood....

I can't tell if it's mine though.

"Next time we meet, you will bow."

I hear in my head.

"Can you fucking leave me alone?"

I say out loud.

I hear nothing else, so I lean my head back and close my eyes.

"Fuck this.... I need a nap."

I doze off and let sleep take me.....
