Welcome One, Welcome All

[RINZLER]

(At the Fishers Pack)

After the wake of the beasts' attack, his mother's death, and his brother's disappearance, Rinzler had been so distraught, every event that occurred after was a haze in his mind. If now anyone asked him what happened a few months after that, he would politely shove the question away.

He hadn't been the only one shattered, even his father had been a shell of himself and only two people, a heartbroken Savannah and a self-loathing Beta Tetra had been the ones who took care of the burial preparations. By the time Rinzler had come to be, many days had already passed.

Now, as he greeted the wolves from different packs streaming in, he knew what exactly his sister felt when their mother passed. He wanted nothing but to head back to his pack and said thank you to his sister for hundred times till she understood how grateful he was for having her in his life.

He shivered when he remembered Alpha Fisher visiting them regularly after everything had died down, not once did he think he would stand in front of the Fishers' Pack gate and reply to everyone the same words he had for the past three hours, "thank you and welcome."

They were fucked up and Rinzler knew since it was his fault, he took the duty of welcoming everyone as a pro and accepted the apologies from everyone on behalf of the pack's beta and the distraught Luna.

His lips tightened in anger when he overheard some wolves gossiping about how it wasn't his position to stand there and welcome everyone. They kept mumbling about how he was rejected and that if it were up to them, they wouldn't accept him in the pack.

The anger vanished from his face when he saw a wolf approaching, he offered a tiny smile and greeted him. Once the wolf walked to the packhouse, he turned around and narrowed his eyes at the wolves who had been talking, they looked down while scurrying off.

Till today, Rinzler has never understood why the pack behaved the way it did. What reason did the pack have to disrespect a kind alpha like Alpha Fisher was something neither he nor his father would find an answer to? Hell, even the visitors arriving from other packs respected Alpha Fisher more than his pack did.

He wanted nothing but to shake them up and asked why they disrespected them. If his ass wasn't tired and a mind in a complete maze, he would use his alpha voice and make them crumble in fear.

"I heard your mom's pack is on its way here." A wolf he only recalled of his face talked while approaching him. Ransacking through his brain, Rinzler tried to remember but nothing came. He was good at names, he was great at their faces, so why wasn't he remembering him?

"Just greet him, we are in a fucking fake sad moment, he wouldn't give a damn. We are mourning, remember? No one cares if you call them 'stone or rock'." His wolf mused.

The wolf was right, Rinzler accepted his condolences and was happier when the wolf walked away without striking up a conversation.

Sighing, he turned to wave at a wolf to bring Beta Shark to take over. He needed to catch a break, and by a break, he wanted to run to where Alpha Fisher's body was and shake him up till he woke up. For all he cared, he wouldn't mind standing next to Alpha Fisher as they explained how a miracle has happened and the man was back to life.

He motioned for a pack member to come to him, stupidly they pointed at each other. Groaning, Rinzler said, "yes, you with the blue shirt."

As Rinzler stared at the wolf running towards him, he wished the wolf would fall and hurt his ass feet. The wolf stopped in front of him, "Yes, Rinzler."

Rinzler snickered, "it is Alpha Rinzler."

"Sure Alpha Rinzler." The wolf replied arrogantly.

"You should...." Rinzler began reprimanding him but stopped when they heard a car approaching. When he saw what car it was, his eyes shone. Finally, Marina was here to rescue him from the endless pain he was enduring.

"Get lost," Rinzler dismissed the wolf and the wolf scrambled off as if he really wished he hadn't been there in the first place.

The car slowed down, and Rinzler walked to it, smiling like a baboon. However, the smile dropped when Cecil came out of the car. "Why are you acting this weird today?" Cecil asked.

"Cecil, where is Marina?" Rinzler asked instead of answering the ridiculous question.

"Marina is back at City Blue."

Agitated, he angrily asked, "why aren't you with her?"

"Hey, not from you too," Cecil remarked, clearly not up to anyone talking down to her today. Standing in front of Rinzler, Cecil knew immediately the look in Rinzler's eyes, he was furious at her, but the fury wasn't meant for her. She patted his arm, pity was written all over her face, "Sorry love, I am here to see my mom then I will leave."

Folding his hands over his chest, Rinzler took a step back, he apologized, "sorry." Cecil only nodded and headed to the packhouse.

Rinzler spun around and called another wolf, when the wolf came, he used all the energy he left inside his body to command him, "call Beta Shark."

"I don't know where he is, I can't…"

"Now." Rinzler roared making the wolf jump.
