[RINZLER]

Rinzler stood with his head against the wall, he was trying so hard not to crawl into High Priestess Manne's chamber. The picture of his head on the pillow seemed like hallelujah. He was lost, sad and tired. And if he hadn't been, he would have heard Manne's heart beating like a drum.

"I can't find Beta Shark, can you please take over for me at the gate?" He asked, his voice barely a whisper. One thing was for sure, if anyone asked him to return to the gate, two funerals would be on their way.

"Alpha Rinzler, are you okay?" High Priestess asked the obvious.

"Yes, I am fine," Rinzler replied, one of the common universal answers anyone gives whenever asked if they are okay. Of course, the person asking always knows the other one is not okay but still, asks.

"Do you want to come in, Alpha Rinzler?" Asked the high priestess with a voice so sweet.

He shook his head, "thank you. Handle the gate for me, will you? And please call me if Marina returns and I am not here."

"I will." High Priestess Mannequin said, having a kumbaya inside.

Alpha Rinzler nodded, he had questions for her, to know how the alpha was doing, if Bedelia was okay, but couldn't ask. Because now, home seemed like the great idea of all time.

He walked away, his head held high, anyone watching would indeed applaud him for being a great alpha. It wasn't what he was feeling inside, he was suffocating with chains while he pulled a lorry with tonnes of sand. Was he trying to prove to High Priestess Mannequin or himself that he still got it? Has he forgotten Mannequin knew he was dying?

Once he got into the lift, he almost collapsed. Leaning on the wall, he closed his eyes and hoped no one entered. A single tear fell, when the lift stopped, he sniffed. Ignoring everyone staring at him, he left for the boat he traveled with the previous night.

Of course, karma was his best friend, the boat was missing. He searched for a minute and cursed the pack and whoever took it.

A few meters away, a wolf was playing with his boat's keys, staring, unbothered. Alpha Rinzler heard the dangling keys, he walked to him and stretched his hand. "Yes, Alpha Rinzler?" The wolf asked.

"Give me the keys," Rinzler said.

"It is mine." The wolf sassily replied.

"Hand me the key, damn it."

The wolf dropped it on his hand. Rinzler grunted. A forcefully. Rinzler grunted and walked back to the boat. On the boat, he started it only for the engine to stop. "Are you kidding me?"

"I forgot to mention, that." Mocked the wolf.

"Oh, for fuck's sake." Rinzler dropped the key on the ground. When the wolf came to pick, Rinzler pushed him off, he fell making Rinzler chuckle.

Near the shore, there were wolves. Some watching him intensely, some speaking in hush tones, some washing their damn clothes, with no care in the world. Inhaling deeply, Rinzler knew if he didn't get another solution to get to the Mountain Pack, he would spend the next hour searching for damn keys.

His eyes landed on a canoe, he arrived at it, pushed into the water, and got in. His head began to pound, he clicked, sat in the middle, took the oars, and cringed. It smelt like piss. Rinzler rubbed his nose with his wrist, wondering if the pack was good at anything.

In the middle of Lake Rimaria, his body became weak, he stopped rowing and laid flat on his back. For ten minutes, he focused on his breath, if wolves swam, he would have welcomed his to do so.

Thankfully, the water was calm today, unlike the previous day. A cool breeze hit his face, and hell, Rinzler loved it. Rowing, he wished, "a little bit further."

Three long excruciating hours later, he arrived at the shore of the Mountain Pack. He wished to turn around and ride towards Axel Land, Savannah was waiting with hands on her waist, angry as a bull. "Can you help me?" Said Rinzler.

"Oh, now you need my help when you left the pack without saying. What were you thinking? Leaving in the middle of the night, are you crazy?" Savannah yelled.

My head. Rinzler thought as he got out of the boat into the water that was knees length, the water was warm. Smiling, he took a step to Savannah and tapped her shoulder. Savannah grabbed his shoulder, turning him to face her, "do not walk away from me, I am fucking talking to you. What if you drowned?"

His eyes drooped at the same as his shoulder slumped. He answered nothing, infuriating Savannah even more.

"You are making me out to be overbearing. Clingy. Unreasonable. Rinzler."

Rinzler sighed while rubbing his chin lazily, he whispered, "Savannah, I understand, can't this wait? Later possibly?"

"Later, there is no later. I was awake for the whole night, worried sick throughout the day and you are here telling me later. Why didn't you wait till morning? And why the fuck have your phone off, uh?"

"I went to see my mate."

"You did what? Are you fucking kidding me? I am overwhelmed with work, with you, with the fucking kids in the pack and here you are telling me you went to see Marina, fucking Marina?" Savannah yelled frustratedly, throwing her hands around.

His nose twitched, and he removed Savannah's hand from his shoulder, "we all need to calm down, we don't need to talk about something we will regret later. My sister you..."

"Don't you dare 'my sister' me, what? Are you worried you will lose your shit once I talk ill of Marina? Dear brother, she fucking rejected you and you jumped ready to crawl into her fucking hands without thinking about what and how we feel. She fucked us up, me, you. Get your crappy head straight."

Rinzler's wolf threatened to come out, and Rinzler took a step back.

Savannah scoffed, "seriously? Get your damn wolf under control, I am tired of this. I am not something you can toy around with and act sweetly to whenever you feel like it. I am not just a mere wolf, I am your sister and I don't appreciate you using your commanding tone on me just because I have pointed out Marina is shady."

He took another step back.

"I am an acting luna, and I could be Luna if I want to but I don't. That, however, doesn't mean you can walk all over me, I too have power. You should be thankful, I am the one running this pack and not you." Savannah finished and began walking away.

"Savannah," Rinzler called.

"What?"

"Catch me."

With that, Rinzler's knees gave out.

"Oh come on! For fuck's sake!" He heard those words before blacking out.
