After hearing Muriel's words, Alice went back to her room, disoriented.

Duke Landier is dead, Lestat is missing? Was it ... all her fault again?

Was it her fault that she hadn't really died, causing Lestat to finally regain his memory and learn the truth, and that he had gone to Imad, thus causing all the conflict?
