Seeing Ivan again

One day, two months later.

Lestat rushes back to his room after taking care of vampire family business, only to see an empty space.

Alice was gone.

Today he had promised to spend the evening with Alice for dinner.

But he hadn't expected the two counts to have a falling out and it had come to him. As Lord, he couldn't just let it go, so he had to spend time mediating between the two counts.

And because of this delay, he returned almost two hours late.

Lestat's heart leapt and he looked for someone to ask. When he learned that Alice had driven away an hour and a half earlier, his face sank.

Alice drove on, and when it was almost dawn she stopped in a small town not far from the Bruch family headquarters, rested for the day and then resumed her journey when it became dark.

She was going back to the Ashama family for a couple of days.

Alice had been unhappy since Lestat had become the new Lord of the Bruch family.
