31 Thirty-one

Levi and I arrived to the airport after the ride that seemed to take hours. I quickly walked to the trunk to grab my suitcases but, not surprisingly, Levi beat me to it. He looked down at me and sent a disapproving look before quietly smacking his lips, "two questions," he set the luggages on their wheels and looked down at me seductively, "why do you think I would ever let my mate carry a suit case in my presence?"

I fixed to open my mouth before he shook his head, "and why do you think you can walk faster than me with those legs?" He pointed down at my legs and chuckled. I opened my mouth in awe and laughed along with him. We began to walk into the airport and to our designated spots.

"Did you just insult my legs, alpha?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him and crossed my arms, unintentionally pushing my breast up for his eyes to feast on. His eyes darted to them before he looked away immediately, trying to be respectful, I presume.

My cheeks turnt to a rosy shade and I let my arms drop back down to my sides. Levi cleared his throat before speaking with a grin on his face, "believe me, I love your body from head to toe but, your fragile human legs could never compete against mine."

I raised my eyebrows and him and pushed his shoulder playfully, "For your information, I am very fast. Let's not forget i outran you the first day we met," i slyly said, and regretting it almost immediately. I had forgotten that Levi was sensitive about me running away.

He halted and gripped my arm, pressing my warm body up against his cold one, my body shuddered in delight. His face was stern and his eyes bored into mine.

"You hit me in the head with a rock, it wasn't a fair race," he said said playfully before letting me go and continuing to walk. I stood there in awe for a few seconds, blinking.

I knew for sure that he would say something.. anything other than that. I just knew he was going to say something possessive or.. or..

My mind was blank.

I wanted him to grip me tightly and harass me with his dumb phrases like 'you're mine Naomi' or 'things could've been different if you hadn't done that.'

Why did I want that after I went to hell and back to get away from that exact mindset?

"Are you okay?" Levi looked down at me with a concerned look. I smiled and nodded, "just exhausted.."

He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him, "good thing our flight is here." We walked towards to doors that clearly had the words 'exit' written above them, "are you sure?"

He opened the doors and my eyes widened, sitting there was a large black, shiny jet. One flight attendant and the Pilot stood next to the stairs with huge smiles on their faces.

"Is this ours?" I asked, my jaw on the floor. "Of course this is ours." He chuckled, "I imagined you wouldn't want to be around a bunch of people while you're.." Suffering from excruciating burning pains every three to four hours? "In the state you're in…" he finished. I hummed in response, still checking out the beautiful jet.

Levi leaned down to my ear, while doing so his lips grazed against my ear, I bit my tongue to prevent any uncalled-for noises from escaping. I was having troubles knowing wether or not what he was doing was intentional.

"Want to race?" He questioned with a hint of playfulness in his tone. I swallowed down my heat, just for a minute and rolled my eyes, "do you honestly think I'm that childish enough to race you at this ag-" with that said, I took off, dashing toward the jet at full speed.

I heard Levi laugh and begin running with the suitcase wheels rolling against the floor, he was gaining on me but he was too late, I had already reached the jet and raised my arms up in victory.

I turnt around to see him standing directly behind me, a small gasp left my lips as i looked up at him. He leaned down directly to my face, "you cheated."

I shrugged, "it wasn't a fair race to begin with, don't be a sore loser." I stuck my tongue out and greeted the flight attendant and pilot before walking into the jet.

The seats were beige and the inside of the jet was decorated admirably. The lights were tinted, just enough for one to be able to sleep but light enough to stare out the window and see everything below you.

I took a seat by the window near the middle of the jet and sighted slightly, I could feel my heat creeping up my spine.

I watched as Levi got on the jet and smiled at me, and I watched as he walked right past me to the seats across from me and sat down. I felt my heart drop slightly. Why didn't he want to sit next to me?

I opened my mouth to question him but before I could speak, the flight attendant gave us the whole spiel on how to buckle our seat belts. By the time that was over, I was questioning myself.

Why do I even care if he sits next to me? I want my own space. Right?

"I can feel your nervousness, Naomi, what's wrong?" Levi questioned from across the jet. My heartbeat sped up immediately and I wondered if I should tell the truth.

"I just.. I've never been on a jet or plane before so this is kind of.. weird for me, I guess." I mumbled.

I swallowed my pride, just for this one time, "do you think you could sit by me? Just for half the ride.." He looked down at his lap and smiled to himself before returning his gaze to mine, "of course I can."
