Alpha James and Emma

Today is the day I am moving to my cousins. I have applied to college so the three of us can be together. My cousins and I are very close to each other. When I was younger we used to live there but we moved away. Every holiday I would go and visit them. But the last couple of years they are acting a bit weird. Okay, weird is an understatement. I will figure it out once I get there.

"Emma, come you are going to be late for your flight. Let's go, go, go!" John, my stepdad is calling me. John and my mom Rose has been married since I was five. I do not remember much about my dad. He left us when I was just a few days old. She met John and they hit it off. John has raised me as one of his own children. I am the only child; my mom could not have any more children after me.

"Honey I am going to miss you. You have grown up so fast, I am still thinking of you like this little girl. I guess you will always be my little girl."

"Oh mom, I am going to miss you both so much." I give my mom and stepdad the biggest hug possible.

"I love both of you."

"We love you to honey. Always remember no matter what we will always be here for you. Whenever you need us." My mum said as she hugged me goodbye

"Thank you, mum," I said my last goodbye and walk towards my plane. Towards my new life. This is so exciting! I cannot wait to start college with my cousins.

I got on the plane and was trying to put my hand luggage in the overhead. Let me just say this, trying was not the word. Struggling my butt off was more precise. I am a short person with a petite body build. At least my beautiful blond hair is long. That must count for something. At least the flight attendant was kind enough to help me.

Getting off the plane was no struggle at all. The flight attendant was kind enough to help me to get my luggage out of the overhead and handed it to me.

I pushed my luggage through the airport terminal towards the exit. The excitement at the arrival gate is overwhelming. Everyone is happy to see their friends and family. There is a lot of hugging and talking some people even cried from the excitement.

"Emma!" My cousins shouted when they spotted me. Liam and Ben engulfed me in a huge hug. Liam is on one side and Ben on the other and I got stuck in the middle. By the looks of it, you can barely see me. It looks like Ben and Liam was just hugging each other.

"Emma we missed you. Now the gang is back together with the way it should be." Ben said. Ben is the younger one of the two brothers. He is my age, we both are nineteen. Liam is older. He is twenty-five.

"I am so glad to see you both; I missed you guys so much. I could not wait to be here with you."

"What is new? What did I miss?"

"Emma, you know everything. The time you and Ben can spend on the phone amazed me. You know all of our secrets." Liam said.

"No, there is one thing she does not know," Ben said with a big smile

"Oh, and what is that?" I asked

"Go on Liam tell her." Ben put his arm around Liam with the look of a child who just got the biggest lollipop.

"Did you really not tell her? I find that hard to believe." Liam returns the hug and includes me. The three of us walk with our hands around each other. Liam in the middle and Ben and I on either side.

"I have a girlfriend. I feel she is the one for me. She just completes me."I stop in my tracks and looks at Liam. I was shocked. He is the one who always said he will never fall in love. He is more of the one night stand kind of a man. Play a bit and move on.

"Are you for real now? You are not joking?"

"Trust me, he is for real. Wait until you see them together. He is all over her. Liam likes to pretend she is made of glassed." Ben looks at me all knowingly.

"Well, she is my everything. I would do anything for her. It is like my heart just beats for her and nothing else."

"Oh boy, you got it bad!" I said.

"Got what bad?" Liam asks. Ben and I just burst out of laughter.

"The love bug!" Ben and I said together.

The ride to their home was just catching up on all the news. I last saw them in the winter holidays. And it is now the summer holidays. It was not that long ago when I was here. Plus Ben and I video call each other almost every day.

Liam and Ben's father is my uncle. Uncle Joe and my mother are siblings. Uncle Joe is married to Aunt Lily. They have been married forever and every time I see them it looks like they have just fallen in love. Uncle Joe runs his own business. They travel often for business. Now that Ben is starting college with me they feel they can travel even more. They won't be here this summer.

They have decided to rent their home out for the summer. Liam has got his own home. Ben and I will be staying with Liam. I have never seen Liam's home. He recently moved into it. I note his home is not in town but rather on a smallholding outside of town close to the forest. Liam runs his own IT Company. By the looks of it, his business is doing pretty well.

"Wow! This is a beautiful home; it looks like one of those homes you see on the front page of a magazine." I said with adoration.

"Wait until you see the inside. It is spacious. There are five bedrooms, one big kitchen, a games room, a gym and my favourite a media room. The best part about the media room is that it is soundproof. We can watch all the TV series and no one can say we must put it softer." Ben said with a wink. Ben and I are not movie freaks, no, we are series fans. We bench watch all kinds of series.

"Come on in; let me show you your room. Ben, you can grab her luggage." Liam leads the way to my new bedroom.

My room is next to Ben's room. Liam knows we like to be close to each other. My room was huge. In the middle of the room is my bed. I have my own study conner and reading conner with the most comfortable sofa I have ever seen. This is going to be awesome. I turn to Liam and give him a big hug and said thank you.
