MINDLESS RUNNING

“Up Up buttercup.” Tara yelled, “Since you felt the need to do nothing but wallow for the last few weeks, how about we run until I say stop? You need to get the kinks out.’

I sigh and look at my family to rescue me.

“No need to look at them. No one can save you. You are mine for the next couple of hours. A little running won’t hurt. In fact, it can help clear your mind and help you get some perspective.”

“Ugh, I’m not In the mood for this. Do I really have to? It’s not fun anymore.” I whine

giving my dad my best puppy eyes.

I’m a big daddy’s girl. My puppy eyes usually get me what I want. Right now, I just want to go back to my room. I’ll deal with all of this later. I know I need to come back to the land of living and I plan to do just that, but on my terms.

“For one, I never said it was going to be fun. You stop giving Uncle that wounded puppy look. It’s not going to work this time.” Tara said.
