Chapter 75 Her Broken Mate

Sarah could hear his heart beat no longer loud, his eyes not as wide as before. But, his face was casted downwards, almost as

if he were ashamed of what happened. She could see his shoulders drop down, disappointment on his face.

Reluctantly reaching for his pocket, he pulls out his notepad and writes, 'Ever since I overthrew my mother.'

Her heart clenched painfully, eyes open in sorrow. "Seth... I'm sorry this happened to you. I promise you, I'll be here with you

every step of the way."

Seth frowned, as if he didn't believe her. He quickly wrote on his notepad. 'Are you positive? You won't leave like everyone

else... will you?'

She was taken aback of what he wrote. Has everyone that approached him leave him? Gave him false hope?

Her heart throbbed, pain spreading through her chest as she imagined the hardship he went through. She couldn't imagine what it was like to finally feel safe again only for people to leave you alone. Like nothing happened.

"I promise... I will never leave you. You're mine and I am yours. Honestly, I don't think I can ever part with you. Not at this

time." she said, blushing.

Seth, who was staring at her intently now had his mouth open. She giggled, using her forefinger to push his chin back up to close his mouth. However, feeling embarrassed and at the sparks that exploded when she touched him, she quickly changed the subject.

"On the bright side, you did great when you did the breathing exercise with me. I'm so proud of you."

His mood changed instantly, a small blush on his cheeks.

He was never complimented that much ever since he was fourteen years old.

She can't imagine living as a kid one day and having everything you wanted in the world, only to have it taken away in one

single second.

Thunder whimpered, hating to know such cruelty fell on their mate.

Smiling, she stood up and sat next to him on her bed. His figure froze from how close they were, but he eventually stopped being tense and looked straight at her.

My god, he was so fucking hot.

'Jump him. He's on our bed now.' Thunder suggested, panting in a horny growl.

She resisted from rolling her eyes at her wolf.

Why did she have to get a wolf that couldn't keep her legs closed? Then again, she couldn't blame her because their mate was super sexy.

Puffing out a breath, she changed the subject as she remembered what happened previously.

Frowning, she asked, "Is your head okay? Kate didn't injure you that badly, did she?"

He seems surprised at her question, but shakes his head, indicating that she didn't do much damage. Sarah let out a sigh of relief at his answer. She'd hate for him to be more hurt than what his mother has done.

Curious, she questioned, "What do you want to do about Kate?"

Before Seth could write an answer down, someone else answered.

"Please, punish me, Alpha." A voice cut in.

Say what now?

'This hoe better back off. The only person Seth can punish is us!' Thunder said, pacing back and forth in rage.

Jesus Christ, someone get the wheel.

Kate was leaning against her door in a guilt manner, one of her hands around her throat as she tried to soothe down the

pain. Serves her right, no one touches Sarah's man without a consequence.

Seth looked at Sarah, nodding. Slowly, he reached over and squeezed Sarah's hand. This warmed her heart, making her smile.

She took this as how he wanted me to determine Kate's punishment.

Seeing Seth's reaction, Kate turns to Sarah, awaiting for Sarah's response.

Honestly, a part of Sarah wanted to exile her and never have her step foot on pack lands again. But this was just a warning

as Sarah haven't had a ceremony to become a Luna just yet. Plus, others might see that she's just being jealous of Kate. It doesn't matter what she did, because others will have an opinion about it on the outside. They might oppose of her becoming Luna, as someone who is 'jealous' is unfit to rule beside their alpha.

Giving in, she glared at Kate but her gaze softened. "We'll excuse you, Kate. Although we do not get along, I can't imagine how you feel right now. Just don't let it happen again, because next time..." she paused, glaring at her. "I will not be easy on you."

Kate had tears in the corners of her eyes, weeping in a thankful and sorry attitude.

"Yes... thank you, alpha, Luna. As long as I live, I will never cross the line again."

Only took her to get her ass beat to shut up fully, huh? All bark and no bite.

'Very interesting... humans are so funny.' Thunder said, frowning.

Kate bowed once more to Seth and Sarah, before walking away with her head casted

down. After she left, Sarah closed the door so Seth and her could have some real privacy.

They fell into a peaceful silence, as they once again got to know each other more.

He would make silly faces and she would laugh.

Finally, after a few hours of fun, and getting to know each other more, it was almost 11:00 pm when Seth wrote on his notepad, 'Do you want to sleep with me?'

She blushed, her face contorted, "S-sleeping with you? That is, you have your bed..."

Seth quickly blushed as well and raised his hands in exasperation. He wrote down, 'No! I mean, sleeping next to me, so we will not feel lonely on those nights anymore.'

Her heart calmed and she felt stupid for assuming such a thing, "Yes, I would like that."

Still blushing, he got up from her makeshift bed and showed her the words he had quickly written down, 'Then maybe you can move into my room?'

"HELL YES!" she blurted out.

'Why did I have to share the same body as you? You stupid person... I feel the second hand of embarrassment.' Thunder grumbled and covered her eyes with her paws.

'Well, what was I supposed to do? Just say I am safe and take it easy?' Sarah replied, offended.

'You should be offended. I am ashamed of you.' Thunder snorted and cut the connection.

As she refocused on her task, she noticed Seth's gaze.

Seth blinked.

She cleared her throat. "I mean, sure! I thought you'd never ask."

He smiled and suppressed a laugh.

They left her bedroom as he noted that they would pick up their things the next morning.

Finally, they were making progress toward becoming friends.

Not that they were not already, but she's glad they have grown closer.
