Training In Session
Damien returned to the mansion alone. He held up his nose, hoping to sniff his mate out. She smelled of smoked wood and apples, some of his favorite scents in the world. However, to his disappointment, she was nowhere close.
Frowning, he stopped one of the maids who was coming down the corridor. It was clear that the timid maid was caught completely off guard by the Alpha. She was mesmerized by his charming good looks and barely heard his question the first time around.
A little annoyed but still trying to maintain his calm, he asked again.
"Oh… Miss Safira went out with Miss Diana, Alpha," she squeaked.
"Went out? Went out where?" he pressed.
"I… I don't know. My apologies, Alpha," the maid replied while lowering her head.
