Clayden's POV
His words offered a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness that threatened to consume me. I took a deep breath, drawing upon the strength within me. For Kassandra's sake, for the truth that awaited us, I would not falter.
"The past few days, she was different." Jarred opened up.
I crease my brows. "What different?"
"She's always with her thoughts and spacing out. She seems to have so much load inside."
I tilted my head as we continue roaming our eyes to the other side of the waterfall. "It's off. There are also times when I could not hear or read what her thoughts are all about. It's like there is a barrier stopping me. But who?"
"Missy," he spoke. "I am certain she talked with Missy about her worries. We have to find her."
