I could already feel myself healing by the second, my body temperature began to rise and I could feel the presence of my wolf in the back of my mind again. I exhaled in relief.

"Um, miss Luna? Are you okay?" A tiny voice said from behind me. I flipped around and saw Roxy half way inside the packhouse, prepared to run away if she has to. I let out a tiny laugh and shook my head, "everything is okay. I just… I'm back to normal." I smiled at her and she nodded.

"I'm going to wake up Angelo!" She shouted, probably already awaking him with her voice.

I took a deep breath, inhaling all the scents i possibly could. I swore to myself I'd never consciously put myself in a position where my wolf would ever be knocked out ever again.

Although she was back, I still felt her pain. Her pain of losing her mate. I mentally reassured her that I would get Asher back. Not matter how long or hard it was. It gave her some clarity.

With one last look at the rising sun, I walked back inside the pack house. I could hear conversations going on in multiple rooms and I heard some women down in the kitchen laughing perfectly clearly. Now that my wolf was back I'd surely be all healed in a couple of days, just enough time to make it to the yearly meeting with Asher.

I decided I was going to stop by his room, just so I can share the good news and hopefully somehow revive our bond.

I confidently made my way there, taking long steps and every step I took, I became more nervous. When I made it to his door I knocked three times and got no response, just as I was about to walk away I heard a voice from the other side, "come in!"

Hearing his approval, I walked into the room, my eyes widening immediately. Asher stood there with only gray sweatpants on, putting his entire dick out for show, i averted my eyes immediately only to see his well sculptured eight pack and my face grew hot. His eyes met mine as he was drying his hair with a towel, he quickly checked me out and it felt as though he was undressing me with his eyes.

Dear Lord, it feels like I'm going through heat all over again.

"Yes, Madison?" He said in a mocking tone with a subtle smirk on his face, he definitely knew that I was checking him out and it only boosted his ego.

Shoot, what was I here for again?

"I-uh-" I stumbled over my words, trying helplessly to remember what I came in here for. He threw the towel he was using on the floor and stalked toward me. I couldn't help but look again at his manhood, did I really fit that whole thing inside me?

"Are you going to speak or just stand here and check me out some more?"

Thank the heavens I wasn't in wolf form because if I was, my tail would be wagging relentlessly. That thought reminded me of what I was here for.

"I, uh, I- my wolf came back. She's healing me and I should be ready to go to the meeting next week." I spoke out, i tried not to look at any other body part except for his eyes but it was very troubling.

"I see." He replied. We were only a hair away from touching each other. I wanted to feel him, I wanted him.

I reached my hand out to his hand and gripped it. I expected to feel nothing. I knew I wasn't going to feel anything, he wasn't mine anymore.

But I was wrong.

Electric shocks bolted through my hand as if it was our first time touching each other. I saw a small sparkle in his eye before there was nothing but a pool of darkness.

He snatched his hand from mine, looked away from me and growled. My mouth was agape, I knew he felt it too. Our bond was still there, or at least some part of it was. Things like this weren't supposed to happen, when a bond is broken, it's broken.

Maybe it was luck, or maybe it was a gift from the moon goddess. Perhaps she was repaying me for taking away my family so early in my life.

I shook my head and tried to snap back into reality. "Asher?"

When he gave me no response I lifted my hand to his face, wanting to feel those sparks again. This time, I felt nothing.

I shook the sadness I felt from that off and tilted his face back toward me. I had never been so in love with a person in my whole life. And I wanted to express that.

I closed the space between us and placed my lips against his. It felt euphoric. All my worries lifted from off my shoulders and I felt more powerful than ever. At first, he gave no reaction to the kiss, but only seconds later he wrapped his large hands around my waist softly and kissed me back.

The kiss wasn't rough, it was gentle, and loving. We both poured our emotions into that kiss. Everything we felt from the past few weeks went into that kiss. He leaned back and we both stood in silence.

"You should leave." He spoke.

"But I-"

"I think you should really go, Madison," he spoke seriously.

I was sad, but I didn't want to push his buttons, so I nodded and left with a smile on my face and my hands on my lips, reimagining the kiss. I headed back to my room and jumped on my bed, letting my body fall onto the warmth comfort of my blankets, not caring about the pain I felt.

The truth was, I felt so happy that the pain was irrelevant. I had kissed Asher and he kissed me back. I had never expected to feel his soft lips against mine ever again. But today, I was proven wrong.
