Ouch! Bad rock!

"Where the hell did the bus go?" She wondered and looked at both sides of the road.

Other than the sound of buzzing insects and wild birds bellowing, she could not see or hear any other humans in that forsaken deserted area.

'What just happened? Where is the damned bus that I got down from?' She blinked her eyes several times to see if the fog was playing tricks on her sight.

She dramatically searched around that isolated place but she could not find the giant bus which was there just a few moments ago.

"Don't tell me, I got left behind by that stupid, idiotic driver! How dare he not check if all the passengers are boarded onto the bus or not before he drives that thing away? Is this how a bus driver is supposed to behave? I am utterly disappointed in you, Mr. Bus driver. How do you expect me to go from here? By flying? Idiot! Fool! How could he do this to me?? AAAAAA," She screamed at the top of her lungs.

As if it would reach the long gone driver's ears, she shouted staring at the empty space with a very high voice,

"How could he even think of dropping me in the middle of nowhere and leaving me behind without giving any warning? He is such a bad man! Very bad man, I say! Now how do I get out of his place? By walking? Ha! The nerve of him to leave me alone in this dangerous jungle! I just can't believe his atrocity. I am utterly disappointed in you, Mr. Bus driver. I even hate you the most right now…. OK! Just right after my family."

She cursed at the bus driver non-stop for a couple of minutes until her voice became hoarse and she got tired. The area surrounding the forest slowly started to get darker by the time passed and gave an eerie feeling.

She kicked her foot on the road helplessly and once again decided to curse at the bus driver. But her throat was dry and she did not have enough energy to carry on with the cursing task.

Even though it was her fault for getting down from the bus without informing the driver, she simply wanted to push the blame onto him as that was much easier to do.

"What should I do now? What the hell should I do now in this isolated place??" She wondered as she bit her fingernail unknowingly in desperation.

After she calmed down a little, she started to realize that, "Maybe I should have found the driver of the bus first and let him know before I went to take a pi**."

With a saddened face, she hung her head low and pouted her mouth. She became helpless as she understood that shouting or cursing at the driver is not going to help her in any way.

"Anyway, since both of us are at mistake for my current situation, I decided to forgive you, Mr. Bus Driver… Have a happy journey," She mumbled and walked to the side of the road.

At that moment, her glance landed on her backpack that was hanging on one side of her shoulders until then. Her eyes immediately lit up and a small curve appeared on her plump lips.

"At least I took my bag along with me before getting down from the bus. Or else I would have starved to death in this deserted area," She said with a chuckle.

When she saw a huge rock a few meters from where she was, she ran towards it. Then she threw her backpack on top of the rock and climbed it with less to no effort like a ninja monkey. She planted both her hands behind her back and looked up.

The sky with twinkling stars and a full moon appeared in her vision and made her think of the romance novel she read before she left her home. In that book, the princess got captured by her family's enemy but the prince rescued her before any harm could fall on her. He then brings her to an enchanted forest, where they both lie down on a similar rock and gaze at the sky together while holding hands.

Mila ran her hands on the rock but she could not find any prince charming's hands. Rather the cold stone scratched her palm and she whisked up as she rubbed her hands together.

"Ouch! Bad rock!" She hit the rock once with her left hand and glared at it.

At that time, her stomach grumbled to inform her that it's time for her to eat. Once she squatted comfortably on top of the rock she then slowly opened her bag. She took out a huge sandwich pouch that she had packed before leaving her home.

Then without even having any thoughts of washing her hands, she began to munch on her fully loaded club sandwiches. With no manners, she ate heartily while praising the sandwich's taste.

"Mmm… Yummy Yum Yum in my tummy! I really must appreciate my sister Rebecca's cooking as it is the best. There is no one in this whole wide world who could cook such tasty food like her with such simple ingredients. Mmm… It's heavenly, such a fine taste I could even forget about running away and go back home to grab some more." She spoke with her mouth full.

"I am really going to miss eating these yummy sandwiches from now on, won't I? Mmm…" With a sad face, she took a big bite.

"Yum Yum Yum… Nothing can beat this taste! I wonder what she would do when she finds out that I stole her dinner. Just thinking about it makes me very happy," she said with a cunning smile on the corner of her food-stuck mouth which made her face look crooked.

"I am sure she would be throwing a fit by now and screaming my name loudly at the top of her lungs. He he he he he… Ha ha haha… I can't wait to see her angry face. Oh! I am going to miss her a lot… Cough… Cough… I mean, making her angry a lot… mmm…. I must have meant to say, I am going to miss the food she cooks. Who will miss that giant octopus, anyway? Ha ha ha… ha ha ha…" She laughed wistfully as she imagined her sister walking like an octopus around the kitchen with her tentacle arms.

"Ha ha ha ha ha …." She could not stop laughing as she rolled on the rock from right to left holding her tummy in one hand and the remaining sandwich in another hand.

Once she finished guffawing, she finished her sandwich relaxedly. Then she licked her lips and each of her fingers with her tongue before tucking the empty plastic wrap into her bag. She had a satisfied expression on her face as she wiped her hands on the side of her pants.

"Such a fulfilling day… I escaped from my family and now ate a stomach full of delicious meals without having to hear any of my sisters screams and nonsense talks. This is life! I say, this is the best day of my life from the time I was born. I just love this calmness surrounding me," she stretched her hands on top of her head and whispered.
