In a motel room,
"It's all your fault!" Dyson slapped Gina hard across the face. "You told me Emily didn't have a wolf, so I orchestrated the whole thing. And now you've got me hunted by Klaus."
If Klaus hadn't sent a hitman after him, he wouldn't be so despondent, hiding in a motel. He thought he'd be able to beat Klaus this time, but he didn't expect the plan to fail.
If Klaus had taken his guilt to the king, he would've probably lost everything. His father could tolerate him once, twice, but that didn't mean he'd tolerate him indefinitely.
So he didn't dare return to the capital until he figured out what to do. Who knows how many men Klaus might have waiting to ambush him there?
"I didn't expect this... I just wanted to help you," Gina stammered, staggering a few steps back from the slap. Her body hit the dresser, and she covered her cheeks. Her eyes filled with tears instantly.
