The attack

"Jamila." He called softly, as he laid the shirt aside. Then he was going to her, moving fast, almost too fast to see the quick light of surprise, the deepening of pleasure in her eyes.

Not really knowing what to say, she hugged him. "I miss you." She cried out, not able to hold herself back anymore. "I was scared. Scared that you had left me. Scared that you were gone for good."

He heard her fears. His hand slid up to cradle the back of her neck, to rub gently at the tension he felt knotted there.

"No!" He pulled her head back gently by her hair, so their faces were now directly in front of each other. "I will never think of leaving you. And I'm going nowhere, okay?" He wiped the tears off her face gently.

She nodded returning her head to his chest, sobbing.

"Shh, it's okay. I'm here." He stroked her hair gently with his fingers. "I am not leaving you Jamila."
