Chapter 2 The Voice
(The voice 2)
Laila's POV
After the swimming, I decided to go to bed, but I was so tired and stressed out and then I decided to sleep and have a little rest before 5am for my normal sports routine
"Hello," I heard a voice greeted loud and clear.... Looking around I saw no one and then shrugged it off, as I went through my iPhone
"Hmm, what a costly possession you've got there,"
"Laila right... Laila.. Laila,"
I jolted from shock, what was going on with me? Was my room haunted or what?
"Nope, it's not haunted,I can hear your thoughts co's we are one" the voice said and giggled
"Who are you?" I asked the voice looking around, searching for the voice that keeps calling my name, making me stunned.
"I'm in your head silly, we are one, we are bonded and I'm your best friend." The voice spoke again and I was puzzled and confused
"In my head?" I asked the imaginary voice
"Yeah, I am your wolf sapphire and I will protect and guide you, because we are one...." The voice said and I felt like I was crazy, wolf? Sapphire?are humans supposed to have a wolf in their head?
"No silly, you are not a human, you're a werewolf" the voice said and I felt something broke inside me, a werewolf? Really? I started laughing, it was funny... I'm a werewolf?
"Yeah and I'm your best friend and companion hence forth, I'm living inside you and I know all your thoughts.." Sapphire said
"Hey calm down, you're mistaken, I'm a human, maybe you came to the wrong direction..." I said to sapphire
"Of course not stupid, we are never mistaken,we are bonded to be one by the moon goddess"
"Moon goddess? Okay, you know what? Just leave my head right this moment, I go to church, I'm a human and werewolves doesn't exist okay, so sapphire or whatever you call yourself, please Leave now" I was stupefied, how can an unknown voice come into my head to talk rubbish...
"No can do Laila, you're not human, I don't know how but we are not human, we only had a little human blood but we are a werewolf." Sapphire said
"I need to sleep now sapphire, please leave my head and leave me alone!" I said angrily
"Come on..we are one but I will leave you for now." Sapphire giggled and Laila felt a wall on her head closed.
What was that? how can she be a werewolf? Is her family from the legendary werewolf? How come this is happening? Laila was confused as ever.... She found herself searching more about werewolves just going through their pictures.... Then she played a video about them as she so dearly hate reading less important things. She discovered that the ordinary werewolves gets their wolves from 18 but the Alpha blooded wolves gets theirs earlier and they do belong to a particular pack... But she belongs to none. She can't believe what was happening to her and slowly she drifted to sleep
AMOS POV
Being an Alpha is saddled with so many responsibilities as one had to carry the load of both his and the packs'. I wanted to rule my pack alone not to get myself entangled with some Luna... I was not friendly and I never believed in the words love and mercy.
I rule my pack as I want and we have been growing that way....
My pack THE MOONLIGHT PACK was the most powerful and biggest pack in all the united States, and I was proud of that. We have the most talented werewolves and the best part of it all was that we could move freely in the human land without being noticed. I was also the CEO of Moon light Conglomerate...
AUTHOR'S POV
Though so many women had tried to get his attention, but he only had a one night stand with them and forget about them.
"So how's the progress of the packs' new hospital going?" Christamos asked his beta, Nicole, as he Inspected the documents on his large table
"Going well, I trust the workers to do a good job." Nicky stated turning himself a glass of whiskey.
Nicole had always been christamos closest friend since their childhood and if there's one person he couldn't bring himself to hurt, it will be Nicole.
"You seem happy today," Amos stated observing his once grumpy Beta, who seems vibrant today.
"Yeah, I found her, finally, I found her." Nicole grinned
"Her? You mean your mate?" Amos asked, with a stagnant expression
"Yeah, Fred's daughter." Nicole said
"Fred, you mean, the Mayor's daughter? Fred blacks?" Amos asked
"Yeah." Nicole answered
"Come on, she's human and her father is a mayor for crying out loud." Amos stated as he chewed the apple.
"I know, but she's my mate, I must bring her here, she's not that bad though; and she likes me too." Nicole stated with a huge smile
"Hahh women, they are the downfall of men." Amos stated with hatred laced round his voice
"Come on Alpha, you'll still meet your luna one day, and then you will see women as blessings." Nicky stated
"Oh Nicky, I won't let myself fall for any woman, mate or no mate, never."Amos stated as he chewed the strawberry, feeling proud....

LAILA'S POV
The next day I woke up with a good morning from my head and I felt a bit pissed at the voice.
"Hey, sapphire please mind how you disturb my sleep, I don't trade that for anything in this world." I warned angrily.
"Remember you wanted to do some exercise, it's 5:30am already."sapphire said as I quickly stood up from the bed and rushed to the bathroom...
In less than 20 minutes, I was done, I'm not a type that take long to shower. I packed my hair in a ponytail, then put on my jogging pants and crop top that hugged out all my curves. I stuffed my phone and earphone in my jogging waist bag.
After some hours I arrived home and was greeted by little Nina who clung to me like her life depends on it, I scooped her from the floor and spun her around as she giggled.
"Hey there big sis, Happy birthday" I heard my brother's tenor.
"Oh Blake, thanks, how do you do?" I asked him, placing Nina on the floor.
"It's really fun playing with Nina." Sapphire chirped in, I've almost forgotten that we shared one body now... I smiled
"Yeah, she's cute," I replied at the back of my mind.
"Does that means that you have finally agreed to partner with me?"sapphire asked and I could hear the excitement in her voice, not wanting to hurt her, I felt she's unique and special to me... Like my own personal buddy.
I have been noticing some weird signs in my body since my birthday, last night. I perceive things I shouldn't perceive, I hear things I shouldn't hear, I smell things I shouldn't smell, I can even hear people's heartbeats and I can feel it if something is about to happen.... After taking my shower, I rushed downstairs to have breakfast as everyone was present.
"Good morning mum, dad." I greeted applying some jam on my bread
"Good morning baby, how are you?" Mum asked as I smiled at her
"Your dad doesn't like you, I can feel the hatred." Sapphire stated with concern as Laila glanced at her father who threw daggers at her.
"Forget that old man sweetie, I had always hated him, we were never meant to be." I said to sapphire who glared at my father.
"Have you prepared your stuffs Laila, you're leaving for college tomorrow, remember?" Mr. Hales stated
"Of course I know, not as if you wanted me to be here anyway." I retorted to the astonishment of everyone... My father was being feared and respected everywhere, I had never talked back at him before. Perhaps it has something to do with sapphire right?
"Laila come back here!" Mum commanded but I just smirked at her
"I've lost my appetite." And with that, I walked up the stairs to prepare for my trip to london.....
