I saw his eyes, they were angry and they were on me, like it spelt... Jealousy? Was he jealous or am I hallucinating? Chris grinned and I knew he heard my thoughts, fuck, I hate this bond of a thing, I can't have my privacy now

"Are you here to revenge your brother's death or are you here for my Luna?" Chris asked as he took his glasses off and stared at the latter.

"Let's go guys," the Alpha said as he glanced at me and winked

"Who's that?" I asked Chris but he snubbed me, I knew he was mad at me so I didn't say another word. I tried to touch him, but he warned angrily with his eyes...

"Don't touch me!" He said in a calm but hoarse tone warning me, but instead, I snuggled closer to him and caressed his muscles, I felt his tensed muscles relieved, his shoulder dropped and I pecked his neck, sending a shudder down our body. He grabbed me by my butt in a swift and pressed me against his hardness as he sucked my mark. A wave of pleasure surged round my body as I moaned and pressed him deeper. He stopped and looked at me, I smiled at him and he smiled back at me

"Wanna join me at work?" He asked and I nodded, I saw Marcus brother, watching us with pain and Chris followed my gaze. He smirked and brought me on my feet again.

"What's his name?" I asked

"Eugene, Alpha Eugene, their pack is the third strongest pack after your father's." Chris said as he changed the tyre, I assisted him in loosing the nuts.

"My father's pack? What's it like?" I asked and he stared at me with an admiring gesture

"You could change a tyre?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Yeah, I'm not just a girl remember, I was trained to be strong," my face dropped "for my family." He placed his huge hands on mine as an electrified feeling ran down my whole body, I think he felt it too

"They are still your family... I lost my father when I was 15, my mother, she was a witch and had to kill her mate for her people, she left me without anyone and I decided to never feel remorse and love." He said with an expressionless face and together we changed the tyre not without exchanging some awkward positions.

     I wanted to drive but I don't know how I am to say it to him. It had been long I enjoyed driving and I love the sports car, it's one of my favorite

"Here," he handed me the keys and I beamed with joy

"Thanks." I said and he winked at me, I blushed and entered the driver's seat. "Where to now?" I asked him

"Moonlight construction." He stated and handed me a GPS tracker. I just chuckled, he will give me a tracker lieu directing me himself. I started the engine and the car purred, sapphire was happy that we get to drive our mate as she kept jumping up and down in excitement. I crossed the boarders and entered my speed life as I turned on the music which played 'don't let me go my angel' I hummed to the song, I didn't want him to hear my voice yet. Glancing at him, he was so engrossed on his laptop yet I was glad he let me join him to work. My eyes dropped on his sexy lips to his hard chest his muscles and I imagined how he'd be on bed. F**k, I'm just getting affected by him.

"We might have an accident lady." He said with a tiny smile and I pressed my lips in embarrassment. We arrived at the tall skyscraper and I gasped. Just how rich is this man, I followed him behind, I so badly wanted to wrap my arms around him but still he's my boss, I should know my place right? He glanced at me and wore his glasses. Some guards later joined us and for once, I felt like I'm the only woman here... Everyone around here were really busy, all were men except very few women that I just glanced at. Now all eyes on me, I can't tell why, but their gaze were intact.

"Not used to the stares?" His deep voice asked and I nodded, he smiled, his usual small smile and his face turned dark again. He walked to one man and said

"You're fired." No one flinched or gasped but there was a shocked expression on my face. We entered  the large office.. I marveled at how comforting, relaxing, and beautiful the office was.

"Wow this place is cool." I said admiring the office. He just snubbed me as usual, a tall, thin man in a black suit, brought some documents and handed them to me

"Ma'am the boss had asked that you tabulate this documents and print them. I smiled and shook my head, how could he be in same place with me and still send me a message through someone else. I wanted to speak to him when the young man stopped me.

"You're not to speak to him while at work." The man warned and I nodded. I don't really know but I felt bad... He won't talk to me? I'm just beginning to hate my feelings right now, I don't want to feel anything for him, though we were mates but yet he don't act like one.

I went to work immediately, I started typing and printing, I just wished he could spare me a glance but he didn't and I could feel sapphire's frustration

"What did we do to him?" Sapphire asked and I shrugged

"No, nothing he is just a yob." I scoffed and he smiled, I knew he could read my thoughts, so I continued typing. It was getting boring not until a lady entered the office, his eyes still on the computer system in front of him.

"Sir, the business associates are here." The lady informed and left. He stood up and the thin figured man, whom I guess to be his P.A handed me a system and said to me

"Just take down the important parts." He said to me as I trailed behind, I was not happy with the way he was treating me today. We took the elevator down as we came in front of a big room. There were some chairs like a meeting room. A familiar scent of citrus crossed my nose. Wait! Was it really him? Or maybe not. I entered the meeting room and I was gobsmacked it was really him

"Laila," he called softening his eyes

"Jim," I said surprised as I gulped, this wasn't good. I could feel sapphire tensed up

"Do you need to have So many lovers Laila." She sighed and I chuckled

"I have missed you Laila, please, give me your...." Jim was saying

"That can't be done, she's my fiance." Chris said making me to almost laugh

"What? You think this is funny?" He yelled at me and Jim swallowed

"Don't talk to her like that!" Jim yelled

"Else what? She's mine, she belongs to me alone!" Chris hollered making everyone in the room flinch, all except jimmy.

"Watch your tongue Mr. Ask her she loves me and only me." Jim said

"Stop it Jim! It was in the past, I've found my soulmate already okay?" I stated as Jim scoffed and walked closer to me, he seems hurt emotionally and I can't help but pity him he let down his golden opportunity. I can't do anything now.

"Really? You don't have those feelings for me anymore?" He asked

"Nope, not anymore." I said as he chuckled with teary eyes

"Stop this!" Chris growled angrily "The meeting is canceled and I'm calling off the contract with your company Mr. Beth." Chris stated and pulled me away from the meeting room, I glanced at Jim and I heard him say

"The worst part is that I'm obsessed with you Laila, I can't get you off my head and I hate it, I hate it that I love you and can't win you back." Jim said and turned to wipe off his tears. My heart softened for him but remembering how he do snubbed and make me look like a fool in school and how he made my 18th birthday sore for me I smiled and Chris pulled me hard as I groaned in pain

"Chris, what is this?" I asked a bit scared of his actions...
