All the feel-good feeling I was feeling evaporate when the woman's eyes land on me.
"I see you brought him."
"Where I go, he goes," Liam looks around us, impatience rolling off him in waves.
Sarah smirks, looking right at me. "Sounds like a lap dog. Suits him."
"Don't disrespect my mate. You don't want me to kill you right in the middle of your charity event do you?" Liam asks her in a calm voice, not blinking.
"Such flattery. If you want to see me scream, let's get in bed together. I am not going to promise I won't draw blood either," Sarah chuckles as if he has said a joke.

"Don't be mad, I was only joking," she goes on, putting her hands on his chest for a few seconds. "I welcome you and your … mate. We have a lot of talking and catching up to do."
