Victor's pov

Carolina just jumped me, well it was Nova but still. I was falling in love with her airloof and dreamer personality. One moment you can see a thousands feelings on Carolina's face and the other completely blank. The specks of red in her brown eyes were as enticing as the pulling towards her.

Her now silver hair was framing her body more, touching her bottom fully. All I could think at the sight of her was to mark, make her mine officially, marry her and carry my pups. I growled now making Carolina shift in her spot next to me.

' Mark mate. ' Lucifero said pacing in my mind waiting for this to happen. ' Relax, she's never been with a man so I don' t want to rush, horny dog. '

She was blushing now from her ears to her neck and was trying to hide her face with her hair. Cute. One sniff of the air and I knew we have company, my mother.

" And who do we have here? " she said getting closer to us and sitting in front of the sofa on a uncomfortable armchair. A smile on her face brighten up the room making me relax and Carolina to stiffen.

" Mother, meet Carolina, Carmillo's youngest sister. "

" Ciao bella, I'm Carmella as you are well aware, Victor' s mother. " she stretched her hand to touch Carolina' s hand. Mom had an aura that was usually intimidating because of all the power she' s had all of her life and tried to push that towards Carolina. I wanted to growl at her but I got interrupted.

" Ola, nice to meet you." Carolina said throwing her a broad smile showing the white set of teeth she has.

Mom had a gift, by just one touch she could see the past that one person has lived so she touched Carolina's hand. Her eyes flickered with something and a tear dropped on her cheek. She closed her eyes opening them again for more tears to drop. My mate moved a bit closer to me and threw me a look of confusion.

" My mom has a gift, she can see your past but not your future. " she retracted her hand at that and brought it closer to her chest covering it with the other one.

" My child… " Carolina jumped as if fire came under her and left us in the livingroom. What the hell? " Victor she is your fated mate, you will have to be strong if you want to keep her next to you. But that's all from me, the rest will be told at it's time."

Mom left me more confused, all alone under the sound of strong rain. What did she mean by that? I threw away the thought and went after my mate's delicious smell. I find her in my bedroom so I knock the door slowly, almost tasting her fear.

" I need to be alone, Victor." she said from the other side but didnt stop me from pushing the door open.

" We are to stay together in good and evil and I am going to live up to that. "

Her face was covered in tears and I felt the room drop in temperature. What the hell is wrong with this house? Carolina shivered and grabbed one of the fluffy blankets to her chest.

" Victor there's evil around and I don' t know what to be more fearfull about. "

" Fear nothing my love, as long as I have breath in me nothing and no one will bring you any harm. " I assured my mate making her relax into my touch. My heart was aching at her pain and the fact that I didn't know how to make her open up to me was making me panic. We feel eachother's emotions through the bond link but we have to decide to open it for the other to feel and her's was closed for me still. Another sting came into my heart at the distance between us.

I didn't open my side of the bond either, I can't do so without her consent so I stayed silent and showed her through touch that she'll be safe and protected with me. As males we like to care and groom our mates but at the moment it was not possible for me to get too close to her, it was too soon.

'Mate is hurting.' Lucifero whinned into my mind and pushed further into the bond hoping to connect with Nova on the other side.

Carolina's face was burning with fever, probably because of too many things hapoening in such a short span of time so I layd her comfortable between the pillows and tucked her in to go to sleep.

" Sleep for a bit baby girl, you are tired. " She gave me a small nod and listened to me for once. I left her room slowly going straight into my father's office to get some work done.

"Luca." I mind- link my beta.

"Yes Alpha. "

"How long? " I asked tapping with my finger on the desk, my patience getting thinner.

" 8 hours. "

I growl menacing and went back to Carolina's room. Mates are bound to eachother, we are to help relax and think clearly, I definitelly needed that.

I ruffle Carollina's fluffy hair and sit at the other end of the bed, the scent was enveloping me whole making my muscles relax.
