I had to do my duty
"How much water it can make?", Tjwone's wife asked.
"As much as you like. If you want to move to another location, just pull it out and do what I did.", Alex explained.
"Is that so? So we don't need to go to fetch water?", Tjwone's wife asked.
"I don't know if the water is sufficient for you. Give it a try and find out about it yourself, ok?", Alex asked.
"Oh, ok.", she replied and started to pump out water by all the ladies one by one. Alex just did not care about that and kept playing with the kids. Finally, some of the men from goat herding came with the goats and met with Alex. He quickly got comfortable with them and they were very friendly to him. Women started cooking the things that he bought and Alex got to know about many things in a short time. They finally serve their meals and everyone was happy because the food was plenty as well as delicious. After the food, they sat around the fireplace in an open area and started to chat about random things with all of them. The more they talked, the more they became very friendly very fast. Some people started to dance and Alex was also dragged into it and he had to follow them.
"Friend, you have brought us many things and helped us very much. I want to offer one of my wives to you tonight.", suddenly a man said with a serious face while whispering.
"What?... What are you saying? Why would you send one of your wives to me?", Alex asked in confusion.
"She will take care of your every need and you can do anything to her. Since we are friends, I want to at least give me chance to do this.", the man replied.
"What?... no. I don't want to ruin your marriage. Sorry if I offended you.", Alex got shocked and after thinking about it, he said.
"It's okay. Don't worry about it, I have a total of three wives.", the man smiled and said.
"Thank you for your consideration but don't do that.", Alex respectfully declined.
After he dodged that, he was again offered the same thing by two other people and Alex had to do the same which include Tjwone too. He did know the culture but he did not like it that much. But he was not here to change their way so he did not dwell much about it. After talking with all the people and the night becoming quite late. He decided to head for the bed and informed his intension to the people. Alex was shown into the hut and he entered it. He lay on the hard earth bed with a crappy bed sheet that was made of some materials. He was given some strange pillow for the night and he used it while he thought of his adventure of today with a smile on his face.
"Alex, can I come in?", there was a woman's voice outside.
"Ahh… what is it? Please come in.", Alex got startled and asked. She opened the door and came inside.
"I came to share the bed with you.", she asked looking at him.
"Why would you do that? Besides you have a husband.", Alex looked at Tjwone's wife and replied with a serious face.
"I was sent here by him so I had to do my duty.", she got shy and replied.
"You don't have to do the thing that you don't like for me.", Alex tried to avoid her.
"No. I want to do it too.", she replied looking at him.
"What?... but…", when he was trying to say something, he was interrupted by ladies from outside.
"Husband, we came to share a bed with you.", Waredede and Uatika asked in unison. Alex widened his eyes, seeing the situation suddenly becomes complicated. They were all nice ladies but he was just teasing around to become friendly.
"Why you two. Come in first.", Alex got bewildered and replied. They quickly opened the door and came inside. They saw a lady inside and smiled.
"You are here too. Did your husband send you?", Waredede smiled and asked.
"Yeah.", she replied.
"You two, why are you doing this?", Alex asked.
"Why? Because you are our husband.", Uatika replied.
"Shouldn't we have to have a ceremony first then?", Alex tried to dodge the bullet.
"That would be nice but this is our custom too.", Uatika replied.
"But… ", Alex was going to say something but suddenly got interrupted again.
